Re: Muscles and too much cardio
Some really great posts in this thread. Thanks guys. I guess the question was subtle way of asking what's gunna happen if i continue doing what i am doing. I ride to work and there is no escaping it. I do about 13 kays each way most weekdays plus train weights Monday Wednesday and Friday and swim Tu...

Re: Worried about school + gym
Geez, i wish i had this problem! Go to the uni gym for sure. Its free! You can break up the monotony of exercising at the same time each day, by doing different routines OR different intensities OR keeping consistent with your workouts and really trying to nail your diet. You'll see the results you ...

Muscles and too much cardio
People often say lifting weights and cardio dont mix too well, or that the cardio lessens the ability to 'grow' muscle. So what actually happens? If i went to the gym and did a full on weights session every three days, but did cardio every morning and afternoon 5 days a week, what happens to the mus...

Re: How Does This Look For a Three Day Routine?
ok guys, i have been swayed :) I went to see one of the trainers at the gym (i got two free sessions upon joining) and she told me that the routine i had was good, but i didn't need to split up the muscles at this point. So, she has written out a FB program that can be completed in around 40 minutes...

Re: Some Very Useful Links
I really like this site:
http://www.sports-db.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
It has cool animations to show exercises and has been a pretty big help for me when i dont know what i'm meant to be doing.

Re: How Does This Look For a Three Day Routine?
So do you think that's the best way for solid gains? I do want to bulk chest up quite a bit, it's currently concaved  :P The only concern i had when looking at colleagues work out initially (from a very uninformed POV) was that i seemed to be smashing shoulders Wednesday and Friday.. Im gettin...

Re: How Does This Look For a Three Day Routine?
Thanks lp. Are you saying that compacting routine to cover all muscles in the one day and do that three times a week is better?
I should probably mention at this point that i need to work out in lunch break, which is an hour, so i have about 45 minutes of actual work out time.

How Does This Look For a Three Day Routine?
Hi Guys, Im really new to working out at a gym so after joining the Gym across the road from work, i asked a guy i work with (who used to be right into body building) to write out a three day weights plan for me. Re: New to site, new to fitness!
Thanks Nokie!
Yeah i had a feeling the muesli bars weren't the best option. I'll try and replace them with something a little less sugary.
Is portion size a consideration with what im eating? When i see people posting what they are eating in a day, it seems much less than what i have?

Hi all, I have just joined the forum after reading a few threads the last 2 days and feel this is a good place to get a better understanding of what i should be doing both nutritionally and physically. :D After being a very active child through to young adult, when i started working, i was doing job...
