When you signed up here at ShapeFit, you were given some kind of goals right? Stick to the recommended calories per day, or if you can, aim to go below the recommendation. Re: HATE TO EXERCISE!!! ANY SUGGESTIONS?
If you really hate exercise after all that's been said about it, take the advice of the previous poster-to find something fun that requires physical activity. What about sports? I, myself don't exercise "per se". But what I do is: I choose to walk if it's just a mile or two instead of driv...

Re: The "new" eating disorder...
I never thought I would see the day when trying to eat healthy whole natural foods and remove processed junk would be labeled an eating disorder in need of treatment. So "correct eating" is an eating disorder. What is wrong with this picture? From an article on Yahoo Health today: Orthore...

Re: Coconut oil
I believe that coconut oil is the healthiest oil around. As far as I know, the saturated fat contained on coconut oil is one that's different from others because of its fat molecules. Anyway, just read about it here http://www.coconutresearchcenter.org/" onclick="window.open(this.href);ret...

Nocarb diet: What's your take on this?
I know someone who practically reduced carbs from his diet. He actually lost a lot of weight in a span of 12 months. But lately, he has been experiencing mood swings. He mentioned that after consultation, the culprit was due to lack of carbs on his diet. Has anyone experienced anything similar to th...

Re: cheat days good thing? or bad thing?
One cheat meal in a week is good. In fact, you will do yourself a lot of harm if you don't have one. You will never stop craving if you don't allow yourself a bit of indulgence...even just once.

Re: Cheat Meals
I believe whole days of cheat can lead to too many calories, some can even derail all their hard work for the week in that single day. That is hard to do with one meal, but you need to allow yourself a cheat. If you go cold turkey and deprive yourself you will give in sooner and later, most likely ...

Re: Is it worth the deprivation?
well....with the avocado it adds only 10 calories and 2 fat grams - but you lose 2 grams of saturated fat (that's a +) there is a bit less cholesterol. 100 mg less sodium. So I think it is worth a try. I think the avocado adds more flavor to a sandwich than cheese. Subway doesn't offer a low fat ch...
