Re: Lifting in order do Farmers Walk

Thank you very much.

I am not sure why I have the impression that I should use extremely heavy weights in farmers walk (at least heavier than those used in deadlift). It is probably because walking is usually easier than lifting.

Lifting in order do Farmers Walk

Hello, I am not a professional bodybuilder, I just workout for general fitness. I have two questions regarding farmers walk: 1) Recently I have been trying to add farmers walk to workout. But I have had a problem in the first step, which is simply lifting the weights! I mean - obviously - in farmers...

Two Legs Calf Stretch

Hi, Usually I do calf stretch against a wall like this image: https://www.bodybuilding.com/exercises/exerciseImages/sequences/480//m/480_1.jpg Instead of pushing one leg backward as in the above image, I am thinking about pushing both legs to stretch both calves simultaneously somehow like this imag...

Delayed Stretching

Hi,

I usually do about 10 minutes of stretching exercises after workout. However, sometimes I am in a hurry and I cannot do stretching.

Is there a problem if I do stretching several hours after the workout? Would it have the same effect?

Thanks to any replies.

Weight Loss

Hi, First, I am not sure if this is the correct forum for this question, so please excuse me if this so. Well, wife is 30 years old and she weighs about 90 kg (200 pounds). She is now convinced that she must do something to reduce her weight and build some muscles. I would like to ask about both die...

Slow exercises

Hi,

I saw a man doing squats too slowly (about 20 seconds each rep).

When I tried it, I found it difficult and I had to decrease the weight in order to be able to do it.

What are the pros and cons of doing exercises too slowly?

Thanks in advance.

Muscle stress without movement

Hi, Is it possible to build strength by stressing the muscles without movement? Is it efficient? I mean for example if you I hold dumbbells (really heavy dumbbells that are difficult to curl) without curling, the biceps will be under stress. Would the biceps become stronger by just this holding? The...

Knee in Exercises

Hi,

It is usually instructed that the knee shouldn't pass the toe when doing squats. Is this rule applied to other exercises like lunge and deadlift? In other words, is it a problem if the knee passes the toe a little bit during deadlift or lunge?

Re: Correct Form of Squats and Good Morning

Thanks a lot. I usually do dumbbells' squat while holding the dumbbells at the sides. I don't have any contact with any personal trainer. But I do have an appointment with a physiotherapist in the next days for other reason. I understood from the replies that physiotherapists are qualified to assess...

Correct Form of Squats and Good Morning

Hi, Actually I have two questions. I am not sure if it is appropriate to ask them both in a single post. Please excuse me if there is an issue about this. About the questions: 1) I usually do squats so that knees do not overpass toes, and back and neck form a stiff straight line. The only problem is...
