In order to lose weight you will need to burn more calories than you are taking in. Sometimes losing weight is not as beneficial as changing body composition. Reducing body fat and increasing muscle can help you achieve a much "better" looking body without actually losing and weigh

I would suggest once you build up to it, longer spurts of high intensity and shorter rest periods. Make it 40 on 20 off in a min etc. See how that works for you. Should find that it is really cranking up your metabolism.

Acne is likely being caused by inflammation. Try changing your diet. I had a friend who solved a life long acne problem by switching to paleo diet. No more drugs or chemicals. Just went away.

I find just using adjustable dumbbells is great. I have a set of those powerblocks and a doorway pullup bar.

I think it is best once you have some food in your system. Ultimately if you can fit it in any time it is better than not doing it of course. I prefer the afternoons, but mornings before you start your day can keep the metabolism firing all day too.

Check out this program: Rippedism. I have been doing it for the last 4 weeks. It is great for getting cut up. I do everything at home with some basic dumbbells :

I would take it about an hour before working out and directly after working out. Post workout, make sure to include so carbs ( sugar) with it for fast delivery.

Make sure to change up the routine after 3-4 weeks though. You don't want to plateau and stagnate .
