Re: Can some women get bulky without steroids?
If all you want to do is lose body fat then your diet is probably what needs changing. I suggest tracking your intake for a week just to see how much you're currently eating. In order to lose body fat you need to be in a calorie deficit. I would also recommend keeping your protein and fat quite high...

Re: Balance of Cardio & Strength Training TIPS
Try lifting weights 4-5 days a week and doing HIIT twice a week e.g. 15 minutes of high intensity intervals. I've found that when I lift heavy and eat maintenance calories, I am able to improve strength and get leaner :) Of course this will vary between individuals, so it might just take a bit of ex...

Re: help with exercises
Another tip- try using a resistance band. You can buy them super cheap from ebay. Some exercises for growing your glutes: -Banded side steps (place band just above knees, in squat position, side step 20 steps one way and then back the other) -Glute kickbacks (with band around ankles, stand on 1 foot...

Re: Looking at alarm clock when sleeping.
I used to do this too! I found that it impacted sleep quality as every time I looked at it, I would count how many hours sleep I had left, thus stressing I couldn't fall asleep. I now sleep with the clock face down on bedside table and ban myself from checking it!

Swimming is also great as unlike most other forms of exercise, it's not taxing on your joints. It improves endurance and strength.

Just wanted to add in here that foam rolling could make a difference too! Try foam rolling to release the tight muscles :) I have lumbar lordosis and suffer from super tight hipflexors and lower back pain. I found that releasing hip flexors and strengthening glutes and abs has helped tremendously!! ...

Re: Fat loss
I would suggest looking at your current diet as a whole and implementing small changes here and there. It is more sustainable if you make a lifestyle change rather than "fad diet". You will be more likely to succeed and get enjoyment from your food.

Re: Time to get in shape!
I would suggest tracking your current food intake just to get an idea of where you are at. There are several apps and websites (I use myfitnesspal), it doesn't really matter which one you use as long as you're consistent. From there, assess your current protein intake and overall calorie consumption...

Re: Weight Loss Training
It sounds like you might not be eating enough. Try to get in 5 small meals a day (or in your case 2-3 meals and 2-3 snacks). Some convenient meal/snack options include: microwave rice cups, canned tuna, protein bars, fruit, veggies (cucumbers, carrots etc) with dip, air popped popcorn, nut butter wi...
