Re: Meal plans for fat loss?

Keep it simple. Basically 3/5 of a plate is veggies, 1/5 lean meat and I very small portion of carbs is ok. Honestly I tried to get carbs from veggies. Not bread, rice, pasta, or beer. If you like chicken salad, make a big batch of that on Sundays to eat throughout the week. ALSO keep some plain old...

Re: Weight Loss Help

I think a lot of people go into dieting with a mentality of “I’m going to diet constantly until I hit goal weight” and either end up stopping along the way or putting the weight back on within a year or two of reaching their goal (by the way here good goal template ) What I have found that helped me...

Re: Anti Ageing Diet

Avoiding refined foods and omega-6 oils at your meal plan while incorporating more greens, pigmented fruits, whole grains, healthy fats, and foods with omega-3s is a good place to start. There's no magic bullet or perfect diet, though. Als there are also many healthy, non vegan foods like Greek yogu...

Re: fat or loose skin?

Don't worry about the loose skin. I was at the same point a year ago. What helped for me was a long cutting period (about 3 months) with consistent training and doing a lot of planks, ab roller exercises and leg raises. Always do abdominal exercises with added weight if possible. Train them the same...

Re: Starting weight/fat loss journey

Counting calories. That's it. I tracked everything I ate with an app or printed or printable templates like https://onplanners.com/template/7-happy-days-planner-template , plus working out (which I tracked with the same app as well). It's going to be tough for the first week or two, and you will be ...

Re: Best calorie fitness tracker for gym exercises?

I use MFP for calories and workout planner to track workouts. workouts are the same from week to week, so I don't need to add extra exercises or anything like that. Also, you can use Gym Builder Pro if you want to make custom gym workouts

Re: Questions About Personal Training and Fitness (A Survey)

Having someone to stand over you all the time is good to prevent you from resting too long, skipping exercises etc. If you have never had those problems and do a workout plan , then PT is useless. If you do, then they are worth it. Plus, I noticed some people use their PTs to enjoy chatting rather t...

Re: Advice for weight loss/toning

The biggest advantage of cardio is health: longer and healthier life. Calorie loss from cardio alone is typically less than anaerobic exercise, so if your goal is weight loss, then you're not hitting your primary goal. Lifting/weight training will lose more calories. But I personally think the advan...

Re: Advice for Kettlebell workouts

I have the Ryan Shanahan dvd set it is very very good. I use a 2kg and 5kg kettlebell which sounds light but isn’t with some of the exercises. Workouts are circa 20 minutes initially, well thought out to work different muscle groups and DVD’s for specific areas if you want to go that way. If you are...

Re: Brown Rice Protein

I bought some brown rice protein at the grocery store a year ago and only used it a couple times because it tasted pretty bad in opinion. It taste kinda gritty, almost like I was drinking chalk or something lol. You should try it out though if you want, everyone has different opinions.
