Re: How do I lose more body-fat/do I need to?
I remember the hoo-ha about apple cider vinegar and pear cider vinegar over 10 years ago and frankly some said the taste wasn't great and many of the purported benefits of the products, were to my observations exaggerated or probably hooey. I can understand a non-multivitamin product having potentia...

Re: The Role of Privacy and Healthcare Wearables
Just for your information, there is a topic in all the sections about survey posting that you mustn't have read. In future a a little courtesy about this sort of thing would be appreciated :). Having reviewed what the survey is / does, I am satisfied there will be no monetising aspect now or in the ...

Re: Weight Loss Help
You are losing some weight then, so I would persist with what you're doing for now and see how that pans out over the next 4-6 weeks.

Re: Weight Loss Help
Looks to me like you have somehow gained muscle, because your weight has gone up a little bit, but the waist measurement has gone down so logically you must be gettting slimmer, if the waist mesurement has gone down.

Re: Advice for diet
This kind of system might work for you. It's something I've posted before. Breakfast Option 1. Bowl of Whole-grain Cereal and scrambled Eggs, (2 Egg Whites + Yolk) Option 2. Protein shake, small portion of Nuts, (excluding higher carb ones like Cashews, Chestnuts and Grapenuts). Snack Option 1. Port...

Re: my body workout and running program
Hi Yppah, good to talk to you. Personally that doesn't look too bad. One main thing is not to go too heavy on volume when you're executing those workouts. Otherwise you could go stale as they say and need 4-7 days rest when you're lifts go backwards; as some people can overtrain by pusing themselves...

Re: How do I lose more body-fat/do I need to?
Eating more than you burn off though isn't always a bad thing, because as you say added muscle can help to burn fat at around 45-50 extra calories for around every 1lb of added muscle; therefore the person would still need the right calories to gain the muscle and if the person was eating around 2,2...

Re: Compact Treadmills
Hi there Cpalmer, good to talk to you. Well one thing I would suggest is ease yourself in with some steady state for about a month, but then switch to something like interval training, because steady state has been known to lose efficacy for some people, when done repetatively 4-6 days a week, as th...

Re: NEWBIE HERE: Getting lightheaded lately...?
You are quite likely to start losing weight, but don't be too surprised if you gain a little for the first week or two, as your body will be adjusting to something a bit different. Reality is though you'll be most likely to lose weight from the getgo.

Re: NEWBIE HERE: Getting lightheaded lately...?
Fasted cardio is not necessarily a good idea. People have bene known to have dizzy spells doing it and I recall one persons trainer disclosing a seizure that a client had on fasted cardio, plus some people report quicker fatigue onset, compared to normal when trying it. At the very least eating or d...

Re: NEWBIE HERE: Getting lightheaded lately...?
Hi there SMICT, good to talk to you. Weight loss stagnation can be caused by not eating enough calories, causing the body to shut down weight loss protocols and retain fat. Sedentary females need around 1,800 calories a day and men 2,000 a day, and the BMR, Basal Metabolic Rate, which is the minimum...

Re: I've lost the idea of where to go now ?
Green Tea already contains caffeine so there would be no need to increase the amount of caffeine in the cup really. I would contend that muscle catabolism could be staved off to a degree with BCAA's.Some liftrers use BCAA not protein powders to bulk, therefore BCAA would be useful in staving off som...
