Re: Recovery Recommendations for P90X

Hi Vin good to speak to you.

A decent low cost protein powder would work, so one with around 4-6 ingredients or even just a glucose based energy drink, or alternatively chocolate milk, or a powdered maltodextrose mixed with water.

Re: Pull-Ups or Pull-Downs which one is best | Odeta Stuikys Rose

Pull ups and pull downs are very different animals in a way, because one is utilising mostly body weight, the other is utilising artificial weight. You can get a weightlifting belt with a chain on it and attach a dumbbell or free weight to the belt using the chain to do pull-ups, but with pull-ups y...

Re: Weight training program after a long break

I don't think you'd need the drop sets, as long as the 3 sets got progressively heavier in line with the lower rep range.

Re: Job interview

Hi Jcaraballo, good to talk to you.

I would just suggest turning up in a skirt and blouse and some comfortable shoes. You might end up working in the gym in a tracksuit and trainers like most people do, but I'd treat it like most interview and not dress in that way to go to the interview.

Re: Weight training program after a long break

The muscle combinations look sound enough, but what kind of reps and sets are you typically doing on exercises, because you don't want to over do it on any of the muscle groups by hitting too much volume in a session.

Re: increase muscle mass

Hi Kat good to talk to you. Well if someone lost a bit of fat weight, they could possibly lift a little more as they would have a better power to weight ratio, but then that would potentially indicative of a small amount of weight loss, relative to any muscle gain. You sound like someone who has gai...

Re: Good workout except for 1 thing, leg soreness

The problem with lunges on their own is that they only target the hamstrings really with very little quad activation, if you included some squats as well to compliment the lunges that might make a difference.

Re: Question regarding keto diet

Once a day?

You'd never be able to get a healthy amount of vitamins and minerals from that kind of eating; I can't see how you could unless you cheated and ate 1-2 multivitamins a day.

Re: Meal plans for fat loss?

Hi Jamie, good to talk to you. This kind of system might work for you. It's something I've posted before. Breakfast Option 1. Bowl of Whole-grain Cereal and scrambled Eggs, (2 Egg Whites + Yolk) Option 2. Protein shake, small portion of Nuts, (excluding higher carb ones like Cashews, Chestnuts and G...

Well in theory your plan might work, but if you want to do that I'm not going to say don't, you do what you feel comfortable with.
