Re: Diet and Fitness Advice

Here are some snack / main meal options that might work for you like microwave soups, baked beans and rice dishes, oat granola's, ham, turkey, beef, pork and chicken from a packet, low fat cheese, low sugar yoghurt, flax seeds, nuts, peanuts, fruits including tomatoes and cucumber, vegetables includ...

Re: Diet and Fitness Advice

Hi Bfc, good to speak to you.

What sort of times do you eat at and what sort of foods do you eat at those times?

Is there any sort of system you are trying to implement at this time?

Re: 19 years old, need advise on sizing up.

Hi Sod good to talk to you. Firstly being able to grow a beard at your age will come eventually even if all the facial hair has not come through yet. Secondly gaining more height and natural musculature at your age will be unlikely, as it will be dictated to a large extent by your bodies natural abi...

Re: How long would it take for a skinny man to get fit and 6 pack?

I would give yourself a good 6 to 12 months to see progress, but very little gets done in the first 3 months alone, as a lot of what you do is about adjustment and working up to those happy mediums, where you have got a handle on the things you're doing and you start to develop levels of consistency...

By under 20, do you mean under 20% on a macro-nutrient ratio or under 20g each meal?

Re: Eye Supplement

hi Annam, good ot speak with you. One thing that might be worth researching are lutein supplements. lutein is a substance found in foods like eggs, corn, spinach and kale and is useful in preventing macular degeneration. Your problem I take it is more retinal than macular, but it may still be worth ...

Re: Binges??

Hi Krysten, good to talk to you. My suspicion is you may be doing too much and that would be linked to the lethargy and you may be doing something to heighten your hunger responses, because if you burn too many calories and possibly are under-eating, you will have reduced levels of satiety, promotin...

Re: Indoor cycle or upright exercise bike?

However do your comments relate to a saddle EB a recumbent EB or both? I am not disagreeing with anything you're saying just interested in some additional clarity. I have often believed that if someone did cardio directly after a weights workout, that exercise bike work would be better than cardio d...

Re: A few questions. I need some help

Absolutely. I've seen people write about getting DOMS everywhere but in the shoulders and thinking they must be doing something wrong on a shoulder workout and that wouldn't necessarily be the case.

Re: Questions about lifestyle

Strictly speaking though someone would need to be in a 500 calories deficit per day to hit a 1lb a week weight loss target, but 300 calories a day of deficit is certainly better than nothing, as a target to aim for :).

Re: Fibromyalgia and CFS trying to get fit

This kind of system might work for you. It's something I've posted before, but it can be tweaked to suit your circumstances. Breakfast Option 1. Bowl of Whole-grain Cereal and scrambled Eggs, (2 Egg Whites + Yolk) Option 2. Protein shake, small portion of Nuts, (excluding higher carb ones like Cashe...

If it seems a bit easy when you try it, then add a bit more weight rather than just increase reps,

Re: Best way to protect lower back? Replace shoulder press?

Hi Darkman, good to speak with you. I would try the seated variant and see how you get on, but I warn you that a seated variant requires you to lower your weight slightly, my belief has been for years is that the imparted forces from the weight used, cannot be channeled in part down the length of th...
