Re: Tips for dealing with my tourettes in the gym

I look at other people in the gym sometimes, too, just more out of not wanting to stare at the floor a lot. Not out of any uncomfortable thing, but because sometimes other people interest me and you sometimes take a sneaky peek for 4 or 5 seconds at what someone else might be doing, but I would neve...

Okay, I'll allow this, although there are posts on the site requesting people ask before they do this sort of thing.

Who says the root of the problem is low testosterone. Do you suppose it could actually be excessive oestrogen?

Hubby wanting some breakfast so I said there is cereal. LOL . He thought when he retired that I was going to be cooking 3 meals a day for him. I soon set him straight on that. Yeah, you told him he was undervaluing the contribution you would be capable of making and that 3 meals and 2-3 additional ...

Re: Sisters in Sweat Journal (but all are welcome)

Walking lunges can be a good exercise to help build hamstring strength, but like any exercise, if it is hurting then consider desisting from doing it. You have 3 possible options here. 1. Try the exercise with less weight to see if your knees have a tolerance to some weight. 2.Try the exercise with ...

Re: I have 100% of my time free... How much should I train without overtraining?

You could certainly try a TBT strategy and see how that goes.

As for the eating, you could reduce the quantities you eat at main meals to accommodate a mid morning, mid afternoon and evening snack instead, in order to get your calories and eat six times a day to see how that works out.

Hi Maths235, good to speak to you.

Yes too much exercise can be detrimental, but I don't think you're particularly overdoing it, but if you're training 5 days straight I'd split it up and don't do weights on consecutive days.

What times do you eat at and what foods do you eat at those times?

Re: Need help toning up the stomach area

Hi Time4changes, good to speak to you. I would say go back to the weight lifting, but try a diet consisting of this macro-nutrient range. Protein 40% Carbs 30% Fat 30% Aim for around 2,500 calories a day and see how you get on for the next 2 months at least. You could go for a 3 day TBT program focu...

Re: How Much Weight Gain is Healthy?

Added muscle is healthy for females, so do not worry about having it or indeed getting a little more, you'll be fine, as long as your technique is always good and the frequency of workouts are not too much you'll be fine and you won't be overdoing it.

Re: How Much Weight Gain is Healthy?

Hi LovesAvocados, good to talk to you. If you had a flexible tape measure than you could measure areas such as the biceps, quads and in particular the waist, because if the waist was not really becoming wider over time, then the majority of weight gained would be added muscle. Have you adjusted your...
