Re: Bumpers and gym flooring

Then you could try going to JJB sports and seeing if they have anything like that in stock, or try a baby supply shop and see if they have any interlocking rubber mats, like a play mat kind of setup, as you could interlink the rubber pieces and use them to pick up and put down weights on a rest a we...

Re: bike tours, 5k's and such

They like evangelists can do just that Chris, but the issue then is if it contravenes one of the seven deadly sins, which is greed. If the individual lived in a property worth about as much as the average house does in your country, then there might not be a religious conflict of interest between fa...

Re: Exercise vs Illness

Well I was aware of what white blood cells are like T-cells, B-cells, granulocytes, phagocytes etc, but admittedly not what all of them specifically do, but I might be interested if you have any links to credible research articles on the matter as i might be willing to put them up for people.

Re: Takes my body long time to warm up . BP problem?

Hi Janvier, good to talk to you. It might be related to blood pressure, or it might be related to how the blood gets round your body. Caffeinated products like tea, coffee, yerba mate, guarana energy drinks etc, can cause constriction of the blood vessels which in turn would be linked to raising of ...

Yes you could do that, but of course there would be a few minor differences in the nutrient profile of the alternatives, but nothing major that might hamper any benefits of the plan, I would have thought.

Re: Keto diet question

I like the fact you call them good carbs in a way, as people just use the words carbs as if it only applies to high glycemic and some kinds of starchy ones and then start telling people to avoid them. I even saw site once espousing people should not eat pasta as it turns to sugar and frankly all car...

Some of your snacks look a bit low calorie and the last thing you want to do is under-eat as that can be counterproductive. I've given this eating strategy to people before, so hopefully it should work for you. Breakfast Option 1. Bowl of Whole-grain Cereal and 1 rasher of Bacon, fat trimmed off and...

Hi Anthony, good to talk to you Firstly WELL DONE , for taking this first vital step to a better you. This is all about the long-term not the short-term so you do have to be patient and realise it won't always go smoothly and it will take a reasonable amount of time and then many years of effort and...

Re: Exercise vs Illness

There are differing theories on this. Some say it's not a good idea as it might prolong the cold by being counterproductive to the bodies viral management capabilities, but my view is if it assists with increasing body temperature, then it could help to fight the virus, as it's working in conjunctio...

Re: Weight training and Fat loss

Hi Cheekz, good to talk to you. Training on empty / fasted exercise is not a good idea, as it can reduce peoples energy levels thus affecting workouts and also it has been linked by a former member here who was was a PT at the time to dizzy spells with clients she trained. Plus why do blood sugar lo...

Re: Questions about lifestyle

Hi Sebastian, yes you would need to make alterations to your eating habits in order to lose weight as exercise in the right ways can help, but alone it is not a magic bullet that allows people to lose all the weight they want to, so altering your eating habits would be a preferable action to take. W...
