Some of you know I have been challenging myself as hard as possible to get back strength and flexibility and with it better control over nervous system. For the past 5 1/2 weeks...

Re: stronglifts 5x5 with 20-30 min. cardio and ab training?
Diet being the most important I just wanted to add a small comment... Ab work will not be required for the Stronglifts 5x5 program as your abs will be utilized by the compound lifts in the program if you are doing the lifts properly. Also, do the cardio on the off days of the weight days as the Str...

Re: Toning Arms/Back/Chest with a "Bad" Shoulder
flies and rows are not isolation exercises though... also, compound exercises as a whole are better for strength building and calorie burning, so both of these are better than a triceps press or a bicep curl.

Re: ReVamp ... As Suggested by the Bossman!
I use chalk, and alternate each set for alternated grip (I have to do even each hand supinated and pronated to feel balanced... perhaps it is a small OCD thing but I feel "OFF" if I don't) I believe it is more in the structure of the lift that is feeling off. When I was younger deads were ...

Re: ReVamp ... As Suggested by the Bossman!
Normal Deadlifts, I did them slightly slower than normal to concentrate on form. I did a set at 135 to feel out weight and another at 185 before doing 2 sets at 225. That first set I went normal speed and it felt like I was all over the place. The second set at 185 I slowed down and realized I was d...

Re: ReVamp ... As Suggested by the Bossman!
Sorry I haven't checked in for a bit, been very hectic with doctors and such. Starting to shift to a 5x5 style workout to focus on the strength. Last week I managed 5 reps at 325 lbs. on 10th set of squats, was really happy. working weight (5x5) will be 280 on Friday (tomorrow). I did deadlifts for ...

Re: need to tone up and be lean. i need help
Yes, the closer you come to ideal weight, the harder it is to lose that last little bit, it is the stick to the diet without cheat and no skipping workouts or sleep. If you are that close and by the sounds of it you are, I would focus on muscle building and not on fat loss. 5'1" and only 99 pou...
