amercian election this fall

Postby musculArgirl2 » Wed Jun 06, 2012 4:29 am

we just had an election recall in WI that didn't go so well for the democrats. Just wondering in shapefit land who people are rooting for. I do realize a lot of people on here aren't amercian citizens so this would be a world vote. :) i realize too that it's a little far away. Just thought i would put this out there.

Added :).

To be honest Obama doesn't seem too bad, although he lacks the comedy gold of the previous incumbent of his office.

Could be worse. You could have had that black dude, whose name I forget, as a candidate. The one that couldn't remember anything about Obama's stance on Libya when asked and has since pulled out I believe.

Alternatively, why not elect someone like John Travolta? Electing an actor has worked for you before and he's played a would be politician in Primary Colours, so he might have a little inside track on what to do.

I know who you are talking about but i can't remember his name either. I haven't been following the people running because i already know who i will be voting for.

John travolta wouldn't work because if you haven't heard he has all these harrassement cases against him from guys. They say when getting massages travolta has been trying to make sexual advances. I guess he may be gay. anyone with a past or history probably won't get elected.

another actor it's possilbe could get elected sometime in the future though althoughi can't think of anyone.

I had read recently about the Travolta stuff, funnily enough, about the time I posted my comment, as I was googling him, to double check if he was American by birth, so he would qualify.

I don't know what to think personally, as he might have been up to something he shouldn't or just be being misrepresented in the press, such is their sawded little way, but if he's gay, it doesn't bother me, unless he was acting like a jerkoff around people a lot, then I'd be more bothered by his actions to others in social circumstances, than I ever would be about his sexuality.

i have no problems with him being gay either. But i feel bad for his wife if the stories are true. i don't know if a gay man can get elected to be president in america right now. You certainly wouldn't have a lot of the christian vote. And of course along with the sexual harassement charges of travolta unless totaly able to prove untrue. i don't think he would be a likely candidate.

i know not everyone agrees with me and don't mean to offend people that differ. That is just my opinion.

Obama – My vote. I truly believe he is trying. Although I don’t agree on everything he did. But he is trying to help America and our economy. Our economy was already going down before he even took the position. Coming back up will be hard...... and that’s a challenge for any president.

As for Romney – I don’t like the look of him and don’t believe the things he says. Although he did very well on the first debate but I think it’s all bullshit!

Wow… last night debate was pretty intensive! Both sides were pretty aggressive. Obama definitely stepped up his game! After last night debate… Now I know why I don’t like the look of Romney. He looks like one of those salesmen. They will say & do anything as long as they sale their cheap a$$ products! And to me... salesmen are liars! I seriously don’t get his 5 point plan?!?!?! I shook my head when he was trying to answer women equality in the workforce… what the heck is “Binders full of women”??? I sigh and shook my head again…

Did you watch the 3rd debate? I saw the last 30mins of it. But I watched it online and reviews… pretty much the President is coming out strong from my point of view and yesterday was the last day to register to vote…

I’m not much of a political person but it is good to talk and be aware of what’s going on in our country. Like what kind of person is our leader and what is he fighting for? Also, what kind of law that will affect our daily lives and how much more taxes we have to pay and what kind of budget cuts to our educational system and our economy, jobs, real estate, money exchange, etc... stuff like that I find it is important to be aware of. But I will say… some people are a bit too passionate about their political view it can get ugly. I hear intension conversation at work all the time…. It’s crazy!

some people are a bit too passionate and also you don't want to offend other peoples point of views. I tend to just talk politics with people i know agree with me!! i didn't see the debate but heard a few things about it.

i watched a debated from 20 years ago with bush senior and clinton. funnily enough they were arguing about the same things we argue about today. the economy, the deficit, social security. it makes you wonder what they really accomplish sometimes in washington!

Thanks for voting ketchup. :)

It's going to be close. it will be disappointing to either side that's for sure who ever doesn't win. I'm hoping on my own opinion obama has the edge but like i said to close to call. :? We probably won't know for a while i bet even after Tuesday.
