The mugger's friends were waiting for me in the underground parking lot. A couple scrubs with nothing going for them. Luckily for me I've been watching self defense videos on YouTube and I managed to break one of their arms (literally bent the elbow the opposite direction), and the other ran away.
I followed Packard's advice of taking out the wallet and saying if anybody bothered me than I'm getting the cops and gunning for him. I forced his word that they're done mugging people, and if they try me again I won't hesitate to cripple them (there are a surprising amount of ways to break a leg). So I don't think I'll be bothered anymore.
Street defense is surprisingly simple and follows our basic instincts, with slight modifications. I am NOT the kind of person who would ever start a fight. But I will sure as hell end one if I'm brought into it.
