Travelling Help

Postby xxchrisxx » Thu Nov 05, 2009 5:36 am

So i'll be on vacation for 3weeks or so & would like to know how to you guys keep up with your workout schedule? Do you totally neglect it & just have fun or doing simple workouts in the hotel's gym(if there is one). One more thing is that, what about the protein shakes? Do you bring the whole tub with you or you just buy a new one when you get there? Any advice given would be appreciated. :)

I used to travel quite a bit.

Most hotels did not have gyms at that time.

I carried a chinning bar that fit door jambs and I did pull ups.

I did push ups.

I did crunches.

And I climbed stairs (real stairs, not the stair machines). Real hotels are frequently several stories high and have a separated stairwell. A couple of times up and down a 6 story building is a good leg workout.

This is actually enough to keep you in shape. Add running on nice days (and eliminate the stairs). Do this on alternate days.

What about protein shakes? I drink 1-2 servings a day & for 3 weeks ,that's about a whole tub of protein. I want to keep drinking it but i do not want to look like this weird guy who brings along a big tub with him to the plane.
