fast lifting or slow

hi noticed some lads in gym lifting like theres no tommorow fast
i lift slow and controlled is this correct or should i be more explosive and slow on the way down ?

Slow and steady with proper from. The idiots that lift fast most likely don't know what they are doing and are going to end up hurting themselves.There are guys at gym who also lift ridiculously fast. Drives me nuts. :roll:

it's all about intent

as long as you're intent is to lift the wt as fast as you can then you're on the right track

if bar speed is still fast then the wt ios too heavy (the blokes you were talking about in the gym) but as you lift heavier wts actual bar speed slows but the intent to accelerate the wt as fast as you can applies to all reps

once acceleration decreases, stop the set
