i am 16yr old and 5'6". I have been working a lot on my abs and i have also started takin a controlled diet. in the morning, i eat egg whites frm 2 eggs and oats with milk. At lunchtime i have 1 cup of cooked white rice with cooked dal and yogurt. for dinner i eat chopped fruits about 3 types of fruits with frozen poultry. i have lost 8 kgs in 2 months but i am stuck at 62 for past 3 weeks. i still have the love handles. i used to swim earlir but now i do my cardio and weight training alternate days. for cardio i work out on treadmill for 30 mins at average of 8.6 kmph. for my weight training, i do the abs exercises, 3 for upper and 3 for lower, chest press on machine, the butter fly exercise for chest, pull ups, bicep curls on machine, and the back exercises also on the machines. i do 2 circuit sets of each exercise but still with all the changes, i have seen only little improvements in my abs............ plz anyone suggest me an appropriate workout routine and diet plan.......i am desperate 2 have those 6 pack

Hello rudraaksh,

You seemed to be in the right track as far as your exercises are concerned. However, you need to try portioning your meals and know how many calories your body needs to function daily, given your current activity level.

You'll need to eat more to lose more (it sounds counter-intuitive) because if not, you actually go into starvation mode. If you're burning too many calories than what you actually need to, you won't be burning fat. Your body will be tapping into your muscles for energy instead and keep everything else (your fat) as reserves.

Hope this helps
