ive been doing strength training for maybe 2-3 months, i can see results however im concerned over these stories that crop up about if you cease this kind of activity, your muscles will go flabby.
although i am commited at the moment i dont know how long it can last, so i was wondering if there was a way to prevent the fabby muscles, if its true?

Not really. If you stop eventually you would start to lose muscle, and potentially replace it with Fat.
