Postby manutd217 » Thu Feb 12, 2009 7:49 pm

heey, i am an atheletic 16 year old male, who is around 5, 8" and 58 kg. I play alot of soccer and have always wanted to start bodybuilding but always feard it due to my height. But after doing research i have found out that bodybuilding does not stunt your growth.
I recently bought some dumbells 45kg all togather and i want to start training at home and my college gym, and also join a gym to train.
But i am really not sure what training methods to use, i currently have an atheletic body but i want it to get ripped so i really want a good workout.

sorry for writing sooo much  but please help me. thanks alot

Not to sound rude, but Dumbbells are a waste of time, and most people could buy free weights, for the price of a few Dumbbells, and free weights are easier to store, cheaper, and give you more flexibility of weight, as they can be adjusted, but dumbbells can't.

Regards the figure iof 45kg in all, what does that mean? How many pairs did you get, and what weight were they?

Do some chin ups, curls, dumbbell rows, etc. There is a huge list of exercises on this website, have a look around. try to do grip variations and for the curls sometimes to hammer curls and sometimes do the normal. Do about 6 - 8 reps for each set with the most weight you can handle. Do as many chin ups you can until failure whether or not it is more or less than 6 - 8 (unless you have a weighted vest).
