16 yr old guy wanting to loose wight

Postby aznboi » Fri Aug 14, 2009 6:36 pm

Hey everyone Ive recently gained 10lbs this summer and would like to get some help on how to get back down or even loose more weight.

My goal weight is around 155-165 but right now Im 190 :\

I know I don't work out enough right now but I don't really know how much I should be doing.

Her is my workout as of right now....

mon: run 10-20mins. - lift weights

tues: run 10-20mins.

wed: run 10-20mins. - lift weights

thu: run 10-20mins.

fri: run 10-20mins. - lift weights

Eating:

breakfast's- bowl of oatmeal - 2 eggs -

lunches- 1 boiled chicken breast - home made soup (veggies-chicken) -

dinner- right now I usually eat what my mom makes because we all eat together. (southern food so I don't think it is the healthiest)

I need to loose weight because in 1-2 months baseball practice starts so I can be on top of my game.

So could you advise me on diet--workout--and anything you can think about.

throw in some snacks! Protein and a veg w every meal, 5-6 meals/day. I'm lucky in that I never quite acquired the taste for fried chicken, so good luck there (: Do the best you can with the rest of your meals. Make sure you get enough calories to keep your metabolism going during the day!

Try doing less cardio on your weight days and more cardio on your off days. Shoot for about 30 minutes at a time if you can, and maybe just use a short, quick run as a quick warm-up before lifting.

Well I do eat snacks just didn't put it in there. I usually have fruit\nuts\ or something quick. I don't eat that much for breakfast-lunch but dinner is where most of my calories come from.

Almost every dinner in my house has white rice cooked on the side but I usually don't have that much of it.

Some kind of vegtable usually steamed from a bag though.

Some kind of meat with pasta or plain
