Not to sound rude, but building muscle is healthy. Why wouldn't you want to? If you're thinking you'd get masculine looking, forget that. You don't have the test levels of a man, and you would have to eat 3,500-4,000 calories a day, to realistically get a natural peak mass of around 13.5"-14" natural arms, coupled with heavy sustained weightlifting

You could lose the weight, but without that muscle, you'd end up when you're older, with above average aerobic condition for your age, but still prone to the same risks of Osteoperosis and muscular frailty, as your peers, because you'd not be getting more strength and Bone density, in your earlier years to protect your health and wellbeing in later life.

If you want to lsoe weigh though as already stated, the above things will work for you, though I would do things like running and Cycling mainly, as you would be able to use fluctuating terrain that fluctuates heart rate, to prevent your body getting used to it, as opposed to running or cycling on a flat terrain all the time.

You really have to work for mass. Muscle building largely depends on diet and strict exercise. Going to a pump class a few times a week is NOT going to build big muscles! It will, however, help with weight maintenance. Muscle is very good for that!

Plus being muscular gives women great shapes! Lots of curves everywhere.

I lift a lot of weights, and my size has decreased as I've put on muscle mass. I know everyone is different, but it takes some serious work to get the body-builder figure (just ask Cassie!). I guess I'm just reiterating what Boss and Lesplease said...building muscle will help you lose weight faster, look more toned, and fit into pants better. Your general shape shouldn't go anywhere. :D
