need advise on how to lose belly fat fast

Postby rescuemedic99 » Mon Apr 23, 2012 7:15 pm

I am a 31y/o male at 5'-11" 242lbs. I have been excersizing and eating healthy for the last 6months with out any weight loss. I work 2 jobs and one requires me to be available for call at any given time 4 days a week. This has made it difficult for me to find a good routine. I am also on the road alot w/ very few options for meals. I am constantly hungry even tho i drink 100-150 ounces of water a day. My meals include fresh fruior breakfast and mid morning snack 6" turkey sub for lunch yogurt or fruit for mid afternoon snack and variable meals for dinner. I have been trying to lose 20-30lbs for some time for a possible carrer advancement w/o success. I would like to try and lose 20lbs in 30days but realize that is not a good idea. Any suggestions on what i could do to help get rid of the belly fat and weight?

You look like you're eating low calories and that's probably doing it. The body thinks you might be starving it a it and won't let you lose.

I'd add things like turkey, chicken, Beef, Ham etc, into your first 2 meals and after noon snack and consider another snack about 2-3 hours after your Dinner.

For afternoon snack you could have a portion of peanuts or low fat Cheese with the Fruit as added options. Alternatively if you're able try things like Microwave baked beans, Soups or Rice dishes as snacks, but certainly up te calories especially in regards to Protein.

Yes, sadly you can't lose that fat by targeting it, or anything like that, when you lose body fat it comes from all over, so your best bet is upping calories and protein. Eating more protein will feed your lean muscle mass, and eating less carbs will top up your "storage" less often, and give you a chance to burn your fat reserves.

The best way to reshape your body is to vary your exercise routine - your body will get conditioned for what you are asking it to do, and then you will stop getting results from it, so you have to change it up all the time. Make sure your exercise level is INTENSE at least once or twice per week - like, "I think I'm going to die" intense  Make sure you're safe though, of course. Join a class, try working out with a trainer once or twice if you can, just change it up. If you're on the road a lot check out bodyrock.tv - the workouts are usually about 20 minutes, and can be done in hotel rooms, outside, with minimal equipment, etc.

Someone should have taught Zuzana to never do Side Planks resting on your palm, but always on the Forearm.

Bearing a lot of your bodyweight on the wrist like she is doing, could cause potentially serious damage to the Wrist and surrounding structures.

This is quite often a fairly common mistake with such an exercise and is a poor interpretation of Side Planks, that looks like something a lot of people don't teach properly to the unweary.

Resting on the Forearm distributes load better and provides enhanced stability :).
