Cassie, I believe, also stops these behaviors coming up to her competitions (articifical sweetener intake, not aspartame, specifically). Though her use is *nothing* like the girl I knew, she is still light on sugar free jello, and I think in one of her posts even mentioned cutting out protein powder (which often has sucralose, another artificial sweetener), in the weeks leading up to a competition. Over time, these chemicals can build up in your body, and interfere with its normal metabolic function.

Yeppers... although i haven't been as strict for this one as i was on the last one. EVERYTHING comes out Monday and water goes to 2 gallons a day for a couple days to really clean things out.

One of the guys I w/o with drinks coke fairly regularly. Probably 2-3 times a week. People will ask him why he doesn't drink diet coke, since the rest of his diet is very clean, and diet coke is a "healthier" option. His response is that he knows how to deal with 120 extra calories. He doesn't have the slightest idea what to do with aspartame.

Day 123

Breakfast - 3 shreaded wheat with hot semi skimmed milk. Been having more hot drinks than usually too where i haven't been too well, such as tea/coffe. Also usually have a small amount of sugar to put in drink/breakfast not loads.

Lunch - can of tuna 2 pieces of toast with peanut butter, does a glass of juice/squash hurt? Sometimes i have a horrible taste in my mouth and water doesn't usually get rid of it.

Sprinkled dougnut.

Havent done any cardio 2day :|

Dinner bowl of porridge.

Martin you keep asking why you're not seeing progress. I"ll be honest with you... mcflurrys and doughnuts are not going to help you see progress. This kind of stuff is undoubtedly going to set you back.

A glass of juice may be better than soda (really depends on the juice though.. some "fruit juices" are actually just fruit flavored sugar water). I would go for fruit instead of juice and stick to water. Water is your friend! If you have a horrible taste in your mouth you might try brushing your teeth or chewing gum.

a typical sugared soda has 140 calories

water zero

replacing one sugared soda a day can trim 50.000 calories a year from diet.

source, my water bottle label I know the bastard water industry might be biased in their reportage but I tend to buy this one

replacing one donut a day with a vegetable of equal weight prolly save you three heart attacks in a lifetime.

source, I made the stats up

Try not to focus on how many calories, but on where they come from. There is a huge difference between eating 2000 cals/day in sugars and saturated fat and 2000 cals in healthy fats, proteins and complex carbs.

An eggwhite has 15-20 calories depending on size and 3.5-5 grams of protein.

Oh not bad, they were fairly big eggs, not huge, but not small either.

Break time bought a nurishment can (468 calories) 67g carbs, think they were sugar too  21g protein, 11g fat.

Lunch had ham sandwiches (3 slices of bread)

Got in ate a pear

Dinner being made is egg and bacon pie with mushrooms. Is this good? I feel where ive been ill and still am but mainly recovered, could you recommend some meals which would begood for me in terms of break lunch inbetween meals and dinner, i know this is asking alot of you and not you're job but it seems like i was doing well and falling back down again, foods i mainly have in house are, eggs, bread, peanut butter, thin ham slices, usually tuna chunks, fruits, cereals cheese. Probably have more than im saying but if you could suggest some that would be great thanks alot.

Hi martin,

Breakfast needs protein.

If that nourishment drink is anything like what we have here in the states I would definitely stay away from those. The ones here have around 30-40 grams of sugar... This isn't good at all... especially not for fat loss.

I'm sure if you back and read prior posts you'll see that I've provided meal ideas on many occasions. However to save you time from having to go back and search old threads I'll give you the meal ideas again.

Great protein sources would include: eggs/eggwhites (can be boiled and taken with you when you're going to class), grilled chicken breast (can be grilled and also taken with you as long as you have a cooler to keep it in while youre in class), tuna (can be straight out of the can or on a whole wheat sandwich), ham is good (again, you can do it on a whole wheat sandwich or just plain), fish is a great for protein, low fat dairy is a great source of protein (low fat cheese sticks work great for a quick snack), other lunch meats work well also for a quick snack; chicken breast, turkey breast, beef, are all great.

Complex carbs: oats, high fiber cereal (you could throw some shredded wheat in a bag and eat that with a protein source from above list for a meal), WHOLE WHEAT BREAD (white bread is pure crap), whole grain tortillas (instead of a sandwich put meat in a whole grain tortilla with some veggies and make a wrap), brown rice, barley, and any other whole grains a great. Fruit and veggies are also great for carbs. You don't seem to get nearly enough of these in your diet (especially veggies).

Healthy fats: nuts, NATURAL peanut butter (you might make sure your peanut butter is natural as the other stuff often has added sugar and hydroginated oils), avacados, olives, coconut oil, olive oil, fish, and flax.

Hope this helps.

Oh... the egg and bacon pie.. Does it have a pastry type crust? Probably not the best. Bacon is high in saturated fat and those pastry type crusts have lard or shortening in them (also very high in saturated fat). If you have it I wouldn't have the crust and i would have a large serving of veggies with it.

Thanks, i will keep on at my parents to buy chicken as i know that's very high in protein,
Had dinner, going to do cardio.

Done the 20mins cardio was going to try to do 30 but felt rough half way through, did a extra fast minute so i reached 400 calories although i doubt i burn anywhere near that. When going fast i try to keep up above 30.0 on the speed, doubt that's mph? I just don't feel physically fit, maybe because i missed the last 2 years P.E due to operation.

Day 126

Legs aching from college, nothing new there.

Breakfast - 3 shreaded wheat.

Breaktime - bought a corner yougurt but had a couple choc hoops in sort of like wheetos but only a few, was around 215 calories i believe.

Lunch - 4 pieces bread, with peanut butter rest filled with tuna.

Dinner - Not the best of choices i suppose, Jacket potato, homemade pizza (peppers, cheese ham)

But parents made it and limited to what i could of had  It's frustrating because say i had great nutrition 100% of the time im sure i would of met the goals i wanted by now    Looking at some point tonight to find some energy to do weight lifting, maybe i should boil a couple of eggs, for after?

Workout, 3 sets of push ups 10

Military press 27kg weight 3 sets of reps 6-8
Shoulder press same

However back started aching and struggled to do dont know where im tired from college or where im just useless and not good at anything.

Deadlifts again back aching probably using bad form knowing me can't get anything right so it wouldn't surprise me

Curls 3 sets reps 6-8
Rows same

Bench press 5 sets first 2 sets were 15 reps others were 3, when working out i feel pressure on my neck like it's tense, not hurt or nothing not sure if that's ment to though, feel bloated and fat as usual.

Done 4 eggs, had just the whites though and they go so much quicker in barely a minute.

I'm starting to think is this really worth it, i don't want to give up but im getting fed up, i don't think it's ideal for me to use barbell for working out other than excercises like benching, i can't afford any heavier dumbell weights, can't get a part time job, starting to lose patience with my course as i keep getting things wrong/slow. Can't even take weights apart without cutting my hand.

Man im fucking useless!

Not asking for attention or nothing either, i'm just saying how i feel.
