the leather is awesome its thinner, softer and stronger then cowhide, we usually send them off and have them made into jackets or vests, then use the scraps for gloves or whatever.

Hey congrats! You can never have too much meat in your freezer! Our elk season starts next week... Fiance has a spike tag... Keep your fingers crossed for us! I'm getting damn tired of fish, chicken, and cottage cheese!

my elk hunt is still going till the 10th of december. Good luck on that elk, there is nothing wrong with a little spike they have a tendency to taste a little better and be more tender.

Exactly. I'd prefer the spike over a "monster elk" as the meat does tend to be more tender. While I'm sure my fiance would like to kill a nice bull, hes just looking forward to getting out and hunting and *hopefully* putting some meat in the freezer. Your season goes til December?! Thats insane!

Ok well everything seems to be working, now i just need to keep myself motivated which i am already having a hard time with for some reason. Im noticing the same thing i noticed before, my posture changes i stand taller with shoulders held back. I think that means that things are working again, i just hope i can keep myself on track and eventually drop all this excess weight.
