So Confused

Post by JP1234 »

I have been working out for the last five years. Just cardio for the last 4 and started the weights a year ago. Been doing splits, hear that is bad. Can work out 5-6 days a week. routine is lift one day cardio the next. About me: I am , 46, weigh about 176lbs-up from 156 this Summer (got too thin), 6 ft, hard gainer-ecto. Just would like some help with a routine-BTW still too intimidated by the bench press, been doing dumbell press. Have access to a gym, etc.

well at 46 you' probably work, have a family, relationships etc so the time it takes to train 5 - 6/week, plus recover + maintain all the above is very, very hard not to mention eating enough and the right foods to sustain it

you should aim to make it as easy and aeffcicinet as you can so:

1 - train full body 3/week

2 - do intervals/sprints/body weight circuits 2/week

so i've cut your trainin time down 6hrs to 4hrs at the most and made it far more effective

program - search the waterbury method by chad waterbury...great beginner type program, easy to follow, pictures etc

Thanks for the advice. I'll check it out.

Should have started this when I was 26, but all we had was Arnold back then.
