I love complements!

Postby rockchick_82808 » Sun Nov 01, 2009 10:19 am

I had a customer come in the other day and tell me how much I have changed. He didn't shop at our store since January because of the construction we had. Anyways, He told me my face was thinner, and he even asked me what it was I'm doin. lol!!! Its funny because I didn't realize myself how much I had lost (untill last week when I posted my measurements) because the scale didn't really change. Its nice to see people notice even tho I didn't lol. Even if he had a thing for me I don't care because I got a complement! Rotfl! :D

When I was in the gym this older lady had to be late 50' maybe early 60's had guns larger than mine! She could kick my ass!!!! She was even doin pull ups!!!!! Now thats what I want to look like...maybe not as buff but I can't even do a pull up now for crying out loud. lol. Any who, today was my appointment for my new workout for the next 12weeks and goal heart rate. she set me up with the following:

all of these have three sets of 15 reps except the plank pose.

squats:90lbs
calf extensions
curl ups:20lbs
lateral lift:10lbs
chest fly: 15lbs
hs high rolls: 20lbs (this works the shoulders and upper back. funky looking name for it)
tricep ext: 10lbs
plank pose: 1min 3 sets

She then gave me a cardio sheet. It shows my peak levels of heart rate for warm up, interval segment, then cool down. at my highest point i need to be at 160-176. Sounds worse then it is I actually hit 174. I have to do that once a week for 60min. my weights plus 30min of cardio 3 times a week. Damn my ass is gonna get kicked! lol plus yoga classes on top of it!!!! ugh. lol

Best way to keep me motivated is I will loose weight at a better pace. Granted I lost weight this year but now that I have help at the gym its going to go be so much better for me. I'm pumped!!!! Hopefully by next summer I can be close to my beach body. I just want to be able to shop at a normal store instead of having to go to a swim place and have my suit special made because my boobs are so damn big!!!! Its fricken expensive!!! It cost over a hundred dollars to make the top!!!!! I'm a clearance girl so that kind of money makes me want to faint!!! Rotfl!

Thanks girls! I will post more for sure. I'm gonna be brave today and go try on a size 14 in jeans. They usually run smaller than my work pants but my work pants are a lil baggy now so I'm gonna be a dare devil and see what happens. Lol. I was too chicken to do it at the time I knew I went down a dress size a while ago.

No question in my mind, R C's attitude and appearance, makes her a proper Lady through and though.

N.B. Bossman does not use breeding and monied backgrounds, to judge what constitutes a Lady. Wearing Gucci or Prada does not make females immune to being rude or bitchy.

As long as you have a nice personable personality, you could wear comfortable charity shop clothes, and that would satisfy Bossmans criteria .

Presumably with Curl Ups, you mean Bicep Curls, not those Hamstring Curls done lying down on a Machine.

As for T E's, they can be a bit of nuicance if you can't get the Arm up dead straight when weighted. I always favoured an Arm motion where the Forearm moved down the back, not across behind the Neck, becasue you might have to force the Arm past 180 degrees,to get the Dumbbell past the Neck, or tip the Neck forward, displacing the Cervical Vertebrae a bit, which might not be ideal, if you are putting a bit of stress on or around the area.

Then if you sit down to do them, use an inclinded bench. In the past when I did them, I occasionally used a flat one, and once or twice, nearly tippled backwards .

I'd be tempted to say 10 rep sets on those, not 15's, that's just underworking a little. Most novices wouldn't do 15's. Yes, very light to start, but around 8-10 reps. 15 will just promote more Lactic Acid.

I'd even be tempted to Switch Bicep Curls for E-Z bar and possibly Extensions for either Skullcrushers or Pressdowns.

That's just me though.

Thanks boss man!

I think I'm gonna take ur advice on the tricep ext. It was a pain to "finish" the last set. Everything else wasn't bad for me handle that was the hardest.

On another note for today....

I ventured out to try on jeans. Even tho I went down to a 14 a couple months ago it was in the process for trying on work pants. The store were I buy my clothes makes their jeans run a lil smaller so I didn't bother to try em. Well, my work pants are starting to get loose so I decided what the hell. So I went and...they fit! I then went to sears to see if they had any work out shorts that were form fitting. All they had were name brands in clerance for 25. Screw that. So I looked and looked found a pair! Off brand only 10! What's great about it is I can now wear regular length shorts since I lost some inches on my thighs. I always wore capris because of getting a rash. God it was a pain. They still rub but no where near as bad. When u have to put lotion on ur inner thighs before u put on shorts or a skirt u know u have a problem. Lol

Congrats on the size 14's!! And I'm like you girl, I hate to pay big prices for my clothes...I rarely ever buy anything that is not on the clearance rack. It gives me some small secret pleasure to pay bottom price for a name brand or semi name brand clothes. Once I bought a Nike one piece racing swimsuit - regular price was $45.00. I got it for $2.88 on the end of summer clearance rack!!! :D love it!
