That would make a sweet total.
Malinda is going for 1100 at the worlds (5 weeks away).
Vamp, forced reps are a no-no in PL.

Hey Diana, I'm just weight lifting for muscle strength and growth not actual power lifting. So, occassional forced reps are actually good for a stress on the muscle, I know you know this. I'd guess i'm a body builder (lol). As of right now I have no desire for competition.

HEHE, I might have to go against Christopheel, and that guy is a monstar, no thanks ;)

Cheers

chris does 90% because i told him too he, he

but really the more singles you can get at 90% and over the better but at the same time you need to keep the nervous system fresh so doing pb's ovewr and over woill burn you out in no time...this is why forced reps are ordinary too...vamp if you cut your warm up sets down to say 3 rep sets then you'd do 10pds more on your heavy set of 6 easily

1100??? i just shit myself.....not that i'm a PLér but jeez i couldn't be more than 750 for all 3 combined i'd reckon...agh well i'll get there...actually i probably won't

Forced Reps. Never really though that much of them. If you can't do the extra reps, don't make your body do it, it's your bodies way of saying "not now" or "not ever". Don't try to argue with your body by doing forced reps, because your body knows best

Hey Chris,
I just heard back from M.Levesque, and he is scheduling a small qualifier in Levis for October, it has been confirmed. Are you going to come and cheer us on, we are a 3 girl lifting team.
Otherwise, I'll see you in November!

More womens in powerlifting are welcomed !

But I won't be there in October, it has taken everything to have a break (from all my 3 jobs) to participate in november.

So I will come and own the place in november only (ahah arrogant here ! )

Hum little update,

More ready than ever for the provincial, on 16 november.

Weight as increase a lot during the past week,

172lbs to 180, 1 lbs to break my weight class, bf% at the eye seems to have increase a little but still lower than what it was before my fat lost.

Gym PR at the moment,

590 on deadlift, (My forever loved lift)
397 on squat (yes 2 pounds pr ...)
315 on bench, gotta love 3 plates instead of 2 and a millions little ones.

So I must make myself an idea, I can't hit 450 on squat and I can't hit 350 on bench in a week of training, 600 on deadlift would be a good accomplishment.

I must say that my progression is much more slower than it was ... I will have to make myself and even more structured/effective workout plan or make myself the idea that I can't always hit 5 pounds pr every weeks as I used to do ? Still I have made a lot of progress and I am REALLY happy so far.

It's weird I don't understand how you can deadlift so much more than you can squat...my grip doesn't allow me to deadlift more otherwise I'm sure I would be up there also but not as high as you...although my squat is looking close :D

I always had better numbers on back exercises compared to every others.

And,

my years of shoveling, shitbags carrying (you know to make flower grow healthy. Theses bags are heavy for kids), before I start weightlifting have given the strength LOL

I love deadlift, without deadlift I lose almost 50% of my total witch is huge lol

you shoud do a squat cycle next considering there's no big improvements to be made in deads in the short term

600 deads in a little insane really

Looking good, is that paused reps on the bench?
One more week to train hard, then it's time to back off, I can't believe how fast this thing is coming up!
BTW, I did a 185 squat last Monday. I'm pretty sure I can hit the level 3 numbers needed for the Nationals. Now I just need that 240 DL, this week...
Watch your weight, you don't want to do the whole water thing, its a pain and it takes a toll on the bench. I'm at 134.4 this morning and cutting down on carbs, I want to hit 132 next week and then just MAINTAIN for 2 weeks.
Chris, this is just going to be a blast! :D :D :D :D

Swanso,

600 Deads is indeed INSANE, if I am able to hit it on my meet, I will consider myself a gifted deadlifter (for my weight and age) considering that over a little more than a year before today i didn't even knew what was a deadlift and yes right now there's no way my deadlift will be increasable by 10-15 pounds a month like I am used to.

and

Yes next cycle will be a real work on for Squat.

Diana,

Coming fast you say ? It's crazy ... Your number looks really good ! You will do REALLY well, I'm counting on you for successful third attempt PR (No worries you will own) ! Good luck on weight control, I hate it ... Me like lift, heavy lift, eating a tons, no salad (My ancestor genes ? who knows lol) ...

Yes I will have weight issue, I should watch it weekly, I've only checked it like 1-2 months ago and then I took a lot of weight. Since I'm not always flexing in front of my mirror I don't remark a lot my weight changes. I just hope to be able to maintain me too for these three weeks.

AS you've said, this meet will be awesome, I'm with you ahah !

PS Firebug=Malinda ? If so she will be squatting more than I ... and she lift heavier than most men I've met at gym. How do we say already, inspiration ? :D
