Well im back up and running and feel quite concerned about what has been going on while i have been away!!

Haha. So what have i really missed? :)

Quick update from me. Still single - the guy with the house in France didnt work out. Long story and maybe i will give him another chance one day. Ha.

Now actively looking for my first nursing job and its stressful but all will be ok in a few months.

Oh and im still a bit thin. Hard to put it on now rather then lose it!! :?

Oh i have lots of tips. Do your assignments when you get them and not 2 weeks before deadline. Always put yourself forward to try skills even if you have never done it before cos you dont wanna end up qualified and never have catheterised/taken blood etc.

Careful what you put on facebook!! This is a biggy. Lots of nurses are getting disciplined and even sacked for silly pics and comments. Most of all... enjoy it. :D

Swanso im afraid that is all part and parcel of nursing. I will change your tip to if you have to wipe somebodys bottom, do it properly please. Its all about patient care and respect.

I pretend every patient is someone close to me and therefore, treat them all special.

By the way, there is much more to nursing then wiping bottoms. Doctors make the main decisions but its us nurses that have to carry out all the care. Its also us nurses who take the wrap for any mistakes.

Oh theres another tip. It no disrespect at all to doctors as i admire them greatly but never trust anyone. Double check everything. If a doctor writes a prescription wrong, the nurse is the one who administers it. So who do you think faces the mob if its wrong?? :(

Things some Doctors apparently do.

1. Do rectal examinations, then don't wash their hands.

2. Do rectal temperature checks, then use the same Thermometer for normal oral checks, without washing it.

3 Receive free stuff like notepads and pens off drug companies, because it's often an attempt to persuade them, to prescribe the companies drugs more often. Some of the free stuff has specific drug names on it and some Doctors may conceivably take the bait.

Ooops did I say that last one, err guess I did

I hate that.

I also hate being in the waiting room while the reps are there. They get first dibs on the doctors. We have a screwed-up medical system.

WELL DONE. I always thought you could do it. I know the sort of person you are, and the way you've been around here, so you deserve a good life, because you've always tried to be good to others and put others first sometimes.

You've got a damn good heart misses, so look after it and keep making the most of it. You have every right to be truly proud of the person you are, as you have great human qualities, a brilliant attitude to people and a very warm and caring personality.

Our healthcare system needs more people like you, and I hope whatever happens, you never lose sight of why you wanted to do this from the start.

Keep your chin up, VERY BEST WISHES, and keep on being you, because it helps to validate the true meaning if the word human, and you definitely deserve a wonderful and happy life, for you and your Son.

WELL DONE again. You've made me smile inside.

Whatever happens, we will always be here for you, and we will always value and appreciate your knowledge, understanding, compassion, empathy, and heart-warming nature.

Good on you misses :).
