I laughed out loud!! So true:)

So, today I finished painting the kitchen cabinets and other various touch ups - tomorrow I'm taking the day off, maybe even Sunday from the rental. I'm planning to commence working out again in the gym - even though I'm sore every night from the work at the rental, I'm thinking my muscles might break down - don't want that! On Monday I'll be back to work, but only cleaning the wood floors in both bedrooms and the living room. I'm hoping to be DONE end of day Tuesday so I can then get back into a routine at home.

Hope you had a great day!

Took both Saturday AND today off from working at the rental and working out - just not up to it. I think I've run myself into the ground, feeling a cold coming on - I hope not!

My husband and I might walk in the morning - if not I hope to get a workout in before going to my rental to clean. Hubby isn't working tomorrow but is on Tuesday so maybe I'll clean on Tuesday/Wednesday instead anyway.

Have a great day! Better than mine I hope!

Yesterday - Monday and wanted to get on a good start, so even though I did 1 set yesterday, I did weights but neglected to post

Warmed up with 10 minutes on the elliptical Fat Burn Program Level 6

Incline Flyes 3 x 20 - 8 lb DB's
Incline Chest Press 3 x 15, 8 lb DB's
Upright Rows 3 x 15, 8 lb DB's
Single Arm Rows 3 x 10, 35 lbs
Lat Pulldowns 3 x 8, 70 lbs - had a hard time with these, arms were sore, so stopped at 8.
Leg Extensions - 3 x 15, 40 lbs.
Squats 3 x 10, 115 lb BB
Did some calve raises, basu ball, and stretching......then off to the rental and got down on my hands and knees and scrubbed the wood floors with Murphy's Oil...my arm and my knees are surely hurting today. I also painted the bathroonm vanity and some other areas that needed touch up and cleaned up overall. Especially the tub - it had several layers of crud - it actually looks almost new now! Hopefully only 1 or 2 more days and we'll be done!

Have a great day - my workout today will be at the house.......so won't be posting later.

I am so beat - my entire body aches! :( Yesterday I cleaned all the wood floors (again!) On my hands and knees...it was crazy - I'm so sick of it! But the good news is I only have to put back a few electrical covers and towel racks. A plumber is coming to replace the bath tub knobs and clean the furnace. Then we are done!!! YES!

Last night I stubbed my toe and it hurt, but I didn't realize until this morning that it was bleeding. I saw a trail of what looked like blood on our wood floors and then noticed my toe had dried blood on it - yuck!

Today I'm taking the day off!

Back but not in the best shape. Toe is ok, but my body still aches. Anyway today got on the treadmill and did the Sprint 8 program, TWICE - so 40 minutes, 16 sprints - it felt good! Still hovering at the same weight (too heavy :( ) but at least I haven't gotten worse.

An old childhood friend is coming over to workout with me - I think we've now gotten past the "catching up" - as we tend to talk too much! He also has introduced me to "juicing" ! Today had two separate drinks, one that was made from celery and pears, the other was carrots and apples (I think apples) - BOTH were delicious! He said they don't recommend putting fruits and vegetables together, but they sure taste good. And if you drink one of these everyday it sure can't hurt. What a great way to get veggies and fruits - you can use spinach, cucumbers, I guess anything! I ordered my own Juicer today from Jack Lalane...they have a buy 1 get 1 free special on right now - now I can't speak for the machine as I've never used one, but my friend Jim said that was what he uses. I can't wait to get mine and try different things.

Take care and I hope everyone is doing well. xxo

Think the only single vegetable juice I've heard of is carrot juice. Les quick query, what happens to the fiber of the fruit & vegetables when made into juice ? Welcome back Lu :)

I knew I should've bought the recipe book for juicing, I may still do so, hoping it had some great information on what to put together - I guess I was thinking I'd try it all - 1 cup of something that doesn't taste good, but is good for me can be tolerated ;)

I'm very excited about getting the juicer. I'm going back to the original food plan I started my journey on adding the "juice" every morning with breakfast. I KNOW the majority of my continued weight problems isn't with not enough exercise, but what I'm eating. If my daily caloric intake can handle it I'll try to have another early afternoon. But boy, does it get rid of the toxins in your body?!?!?!?

Thanks - I'm never too far away. I miss everyone when I can't sign on or I get off track.

amatlack wrote:I bought my hubby the juicer he wanted for xmas...boy, was it expensive, but it was the highest rated thing on the market (I reviewed them for a long time). I'm excited. I told him the deal was that I'd get it for him if he made me juice every day. ;) Seems like a sweet deal to me.

The one I bought wasn't too expensive, especially buy 1 get 1 free. The reviews were mixed - some said the greatest, others ok. Guess our thinking is on the same track :)
Allison - please ask your Mom to send me a catalog. I'd like to buy something and see if I like it before I commit to a party. Someone called me, but they were from MA and didn't call back (I was not available when she called and she hasn't called back)

I have the Jack La Laine Juicer. I really enjoyed it and my favorite was the carrot/apple juice. It just got a bit expensive buying all the fruits and veggies - it takes alot to make a few glasses of juice. But, on the up side - they are delicious. Lu, when you get your juicer, there is a recipe book that comes with it with all kinds of juices, etc. you can make...the possibilities are endless! I know you will enjoy it. I could literally drink a fresh made glass of carrot/apple juice and feel my energy level zoom up, and my whole body just kind of perk up!
The leftover pulp can be used for breads and stuffings - I'm pretty sure there were recipes for that too. :D

When I first went to see a dietitian in 2007, her first advice was stop the juice, eat the fruit, lost like 6 lbs that month, never touched juice since.
