Once you see the meat juices come up through the meat, turn it over and repeat same for that side. Don't cook it more than that and you have yourself a juicy, medium done steak.

Nice. A good bit of Sirloin might do the trick. Just be careful not to be too overindulgent, as lots of Red Meat can increase Kidney Stone risk.

However Red Meat is expecially good for Iron and good for Omega 6, which when it breaks down, can produce a substance calledd Arachidonic Acid, which helps as some kind of intermediary in the production of Prostaglandins, things that help with Blood health and control the Smooth Muscle in the lower abdomen. So Omega 6 is good for bowel health, though perhaps not as good when in a Red Meat format, but still beneficial, so enjoy your Red Meat, especlally steak. Man I am so there on Steak :).

Ewww...kidney stones don't sound good at all. I'm always curious about portion sizes for meat (Steak, Chicken, Ham, Ground Beef etc.) I typically aim for the portion size that give me around 20g protein, but not sure thats a good way to do it. Had Taco's tonite....that can't be good.

Tues. 4-6-10

Close Grip Row--15x50, 15x90, 140/12,12,12,12 (increase)

Lat Pulldown--110/10,10,8,8

Deads--12x135, 185/5x5

Put the deads last, as I wanted to do them, but wanted to avoid the ping in my back. Everything felt fine. Increase next time on rows.

Differign cuts of Steak have a differing protein yield. In general 100g, (3.5OZ), yield around 25-30g depnding on the Cut.

So just aim for a good old 100g measurement or so, you should be fine.

Yes Kidney stones, may cause an issue. Excess Protein in gerenal can contribute, but if you get them, you may possibly encounter blood in the Urine, (Hematuria), which could indicate Stones.

Most are small and get passed, but some can be bigger and causes issues.

Not to gross you out but.

ahhhhhh....yup those look painful. Hope they weren't yours......I've seen people who had passed them, and saved them in a jar...... :)

100g sounds good....thanks. I think my servings have been a little big..... :D

Looks like some of the ingredients in my Kashi Go-lean....... :shock: I am all good with passing those babies. I knew a guy who ate alot of cheez-its, I guess like a half a box a day, or something crazy, and he got stones....claimed it was from the cheez-its. Not sure if that would make sense....but.

No bike today...very overcast, but stayed dry on the ride home last night....... :mrgreen: /thats what I call having the top down.
