Well the inspector came & of COURSE said he doesn't see anything, took some pictures of the mold in the bathroom " surface mold " he called it.Strange thing is, that mold has only grown in the bathroom for the last 2 years.I am going to see my allergist who prescribes the transfusions & have him test me again, for anything it can possible be in this house.I will move as a last resort.I don't mind relocating but I doubt I will want to live with my children again, tired of cleaning up after them.Though I am also aware they will have almost zero chance of attending school or furthering their education living on their own.

You may need some damproofing, if you're leaking water in through the brickwork.

You could possibly use a mold and mildew remover product in the bathroom, then use a damp sealent on it, but it may not necessarily be enough, if the problem is a slow persistent one, caued by inadequate waterproofing of the brickwork.

That could be corrected if you use a product like Thompsons water seal or something similar. Not sure if you have that in America. You do have products over there called Zinsser, as it's American made. Useful for outdoors and in, so you could check those out, I think they have a website.

However be aware that such products may not be foolproof, if the problem is a highly structural one, not just down to one or two minor floors in the structural state.

We actually don't have brickwork, its drywall. There was a leak behind the shower wall back in 2007, a few months before I started feeling sick, they had to replace the entire bathroom floor structure & shower walls, put in a new shower casing.Left the wall open for about six months in the stairwell, which backs the shower, even repaired to the floor below. He says if there was mold in the walls it would be growing through.I made an appointment with my allergist though it is not until like november 29th...seriously do not want to feel this shitty that long its depressing & the swollen lymph nodes are painful. One of his associates should be able to order tests, clearly I AM allergic to something, just not sure what.

I agree with you, though in order for me to have them open a wall I will need to prove I have an allergy to mold.He agrees I have a point when I explained my throat closing up etc upon return to my house from out of town his words where " some people are more sensitive to mold spores " more sensitive ? !! Is a freakin understatement.I might make a hole in that wall myself soon..

I'd move - sounds like your landlord isn't someone I'd want to rent from. I feel it's VERY important to take care of things pronto, especially anything that is a health hazard - people are more important than a few bucks :)

Do you have other options Bonnie? You and your families health is more important than anything ~!

Yeah your right my landlord doesn't care...because I live in social housing run by the government.I have notified that inspector I want a signed statement that he feels it is NOT necessary to investigate.I will force my allergist to find out what I'm allergic to or he will be reported to the college of physicians & surgeons. It is about time I am taken seriously.I will also contact the local news channel. They always complain about people on disability or welfare, not making an effort to better themselves & when a person does, seems there is not much support, might make for a good news story.

Todays workout

30 minutes of Steady state resistance level 8 HR low 150's

I need to refill one of my inhalers & energy is low, intervals at level 11 resistance felt like to much, though I cant help feeling as though in a way I'm failing myself & its upsetting. I also know my health at the moment is not the best, so something has to give.Over the last couple of years my shrink started prescribing Ritalin for my low energy, lately I've had to use some of it on sundays, to clean the house.ALL my natural energy goes into my workouts.

Go get' em Bonnie!! It's not right what is going on. The inspector who took pictures of the mold in the bathroom doesn't think it is necessary to investigate further? That's outrageous.

You are NOT failing yourself. You're not well right now because of the mold allergies. It is not your fault - and you are not failing at anything! You still got your workout done - most people wouldn't have even made the attempt. I hope you get some answers soon. I hate that you have to wait until Nov. 29 to see the allergist. :( Hang in there, remember - you are strong, fit, and have more willpower in your pinky finger than most folks have in their whole body! That kind of mindset is what has gotten you where you are today in your health and fitness journey, and it will get you through this too. :D

holy canoli (sp?) you look amazing in those pics!
I'm sorry to hear all you're going through right now. It's hard to stay motivated when you're sick but you should be proud of yourself for continuing to want to better yourself and keeping going with your work outs and course and mold investigations. That is the sign of a really strong person.
Take care Bonnie
Onwards and upwards yeah?
