Research shows that your body needs sufficient vitamin C to burn fat. In one study, people who had low blood concentrations of vitamin C and walked on a treadmill for an hour burned 25 percent less fat than people with adequate C. But a dose of C brought fat-burning levels back up to par. Why? Seems C is essential for creating carnitine, a substance that turns fat into fuel.
To keep your fat-burning abilities high, we recommend taking 1,200 milligrams of C per day.

according the their research Vitamin C can cure/prevent most illness/flu/, etc. Of course we get alot of vitamin c in the foods we eat, but it might be sensible to take an additional supplement during the cold winter months to help boost immunity.
My husband takes 3 vit. c pills a day (1500 mg.) it seems to be working for him. I hate taking pills of any sort - prefer to get my vitamins in the food I eat (he buys the chewable vitamin c pills) but I really think I will begin taking at least 1 or 2 a day.
