thank you so much boss man. I've been feeling defeated lately because my body doesn't want to let go of this weight. I'm stuck between 224-226 for about three weeks now and its irritating. I know last week didn't help being laid up, nor has the parties on the weekend with all the foods I eat. so I pretty much have been on maintenance mode. mon-Friday I do what I'm supposed to then two days its rough. I know that won't last after august bc my schedule will be pa ked but right now its a struggle. at least I am going to my team fit classes as lo.g as I continue I know I will be ok. its just a current bump in the road I need to over come.

Just stay focused and don't get discouraged Christina. It will come off! Weekends i think are where most people struggle so your not alone and it's especially hard in the summer. You definitely can overcome it! :)

The thing is it's just a purple patch and some people go through them, especially with training. They try to bulk, stutter for 2-3 weeks, then it just happens again. The body finds a way to overcome a plataeu, without any alterations to food and training and they just get going again.

These moments on a journey to better physial wellbeing, are sent to try people, but the strongest overcome, or find out how and the rest get knocked back :).

You'll keep doing this and makeing it work, because so far you're not letting yourself down okay :).

Hey Christina,

did you take the calorie point test i think its' called with the oxygen mask to find your hr zones? Do you think it was worth it?

Are you going to do the 90 day weight loss challenge too? Just wondering what your thoughts are on these things. :D Thanks!

I didn't do the calorie point test only because for me its too much to keep track. I did talk to a lady that did it bc for its easier to do a track system like that bc she use to do weight watchers. I believe its personal preference. i just keep a food journal and write down the times of when and what I eat. I also did the cardio point test. I do feel that's worth it. it helps u see what heart rate ur body burns the most fat and u get set up with a good cardio program. if u stay with team weight loss I wouldn't worry Bout it u.till u move up to fit since weight loss is cardio based. if u find u don't like team I would for sure do the cardio point because its a good price for a 12week program that u can do on ur own terms.

i had a really tough workout today. i used 10pound dumbbells and that was the first time doing so. a lot of shoulder presses, lunges, squats ect. one thing i noticed about class, is when its small we get to go at our own pace which is really nice. you can see the people who cheat themselves though and use that to slack. they worry too much about competing in who gets what done fastest so they don't do as many reps. i personally take my time and complete it all the way through. I'm not there to just get a semi work out and not be pushed, I'm there to challenge myself and feel good at the end knowing i gave it my all. some times you just need to find the motivation in yourself to do it. it is hard, but so worth it!

i wonder if it would still be worth it depending on what kind of discount they offered with the class? maybe not. you would have to save more than 25 bucks which is the cost of the competition they haven't told us what the discounts are as of yet.

You still could do it though even if you can't do the events on tuesday. I think the prize last time was 250 mlt bucks if you were the woman winner of your club. the grand prize national winner for both men and women last time won something like 5,000 cash national prize. i could be wrong on that but i think that's right. Might be a nice motivator?? Totally up to you though.

so what are you doing with team fitness Christina with the strength training? are you learning much about strength training then and using dumbells or more weight machines? I might try a team fitness class during the competittion if i decide to do the competiion just to see what it's about. :)

we have been using the machines, dumbbells, treadmills, medicine ball, squats and planks(i have major rug burns on my elbows from the floor. next time i will grab a mat)....both the team weight loss and team fit are so small because of summer, that friday they decided to just combine them until the next round of 12 weeks. which is pretty cool because of more one one one training. there was only 3 of us last friday. next week they are re-flooring the whole upstairs so we are meeting downstairs to use the gym. i would assume if and thats a big if, the weather is cooler, we will take it outside instead. the only thing i really hate are planks and burpees. they are my weak points because of flabby stomach lol.

i will thank about joining. it might be worth it for the 5ks. i will think about it this week and investigate some more. i love that the halloween one you come in costume! that would be fun (as long as its a easy comfortable one of course. lol i'll dress like an Olympic runner lmao!)

i don't mind planks so much but i hate anything that has to do with my stomach too. Crunches are a no go in my book. It's just to hard. So i probably wouldn't like burpess either. anything has to do with a stomach exercise is hard to do at my weight i know that. :(

nice that you have such a small group!! that really does provide quite a bit of one on one. i think my group has 6 or 7 people in it. i didn't see the mention of a halloween costume, i'll have to look again. I'm so boring. I probably wouldn't do that one and skip it. :)
