Thanks for the explanation. I was just wondering if cardio was more detrimental for muscles than simply eating below your maintenance calories, although I realize cardio will put you further below maintenance with the same diet. Suppose I'm over complicating things.

I tought the sweaty heart shape was cute so I snapped a pic of it

Inviting mom for dinner today for some pinnekjøtt. Originally a Christmas dish, but I saw this half off in the store so I couldn't help myself.

It's fairly fatty, but is going to be a nice Sunday treat!

Rest day

Diet:

10:00 bowl of muesli w/skim milk, 1 scoop protein shake
13:30 2 slices wg bread w/salmon, skim milk
16:00 lamb, potatoes, kohlrabi stew
17:00 2 scoops of icecream and coffee
19:30 2 fists misc nuts, a carrot
23:00 2 slices wg bread w/turkeydog and vegs, 1/2 scoop protein shake

Not the best day diet wise. Had way too much for dinner, but that was because it was so GOOD.

Not much to report yet, but I added a couple progress pics in profile.

I'd say you made some good gains, based on your pics. I think the fullbody will serve you well, as the multiple, compound, movements are awesome for gaining mass. Keep up the great work.

Weights day:

Flat barbell bench: 9+7+7+7 (47,5>52,5>52,5>52,5kg)
+Pullups: 7+6+4+4

Barbell squat w/calve raise: 7+5+5+5+5 (50>56>56>56>56kg) (add 1kg next 5x5)

Bent over barbell rows: 9+7+7+7 (35>41>41>41kg) (same weight 3x9 next)

Standing barbell extension behind head: 9+7+6+7 (20>23>23>23kg) (add 0,5kg next)

Barbell curl: 9+7+7+6 (30>32>32>32kg) (maybe put this on hold for another exercise)

Today was a struggle, body felt sluggish and low on energy. I'm guessing because of yesterdays and todays salty and fatty dinner. It's a good reminder, though, that eating healthy comes back and pats you on the back in so many ways (as opposed to bite you in the when eating bad). Pullups were a disappointment as I took steps back there, bench harder than normal, back and leg felt slightly better.

Diet:

6:00 bowl of oatmeal w/half a cup blueberries, a few raisins, cinnamon, 1 tsp sweetener, 1 tsp honey, a carrot, a 1 scoop protein shake
9:30 ~25 almonds, an apple
11:00 3 slices wg bread w/turkeydog & vegs omelette
14:30 leftovers from yesterdays dinner
17:00 pre weights: smoothie w/, plain yoghurt, strawberries, banana, oats, skim milk + 1/2 scoop protein shake
19:30 post weights: 2 slices wg bread w/ham and omelette, 1 scoop protein shake, green tea
21:00 misc nuts and a carrot
23:00 2 thick wg crispbread w/eggs and smoked salmon, a 1 scoop protein shake

It's amazing how eating a less than healthy meal, after you have been eating clean can show up so much in your workout. I know it does for me too. I usually have long runs on Sunday's and if I ate out at a restaurant Sat. night, it definitely affects energy levels. And food doesn't taste the same as it used too, like deli ham for instance, I had a slice of it the other day and could barely tolerate it, it tasted so salty!
I noticed in your pics that you have gained muscle in your chest and more definition in your abs for sure - keep up the good work! :D

Why is it when I see the word Turkeydog, it sounds like some hideous experiment gone wrong.

Turkeydog, the Dog you can own, but when you and your children are bored of it, you can eat it. So you don't have to dump it in a field, like most heartless assholes do and then get sent to prison.

Turkeydog. For those who aren't really sure if they want a real Dog.
