I was in for a surprise when I stepped on the scale today. I have back to back 3 lb loss weeks. I tipped the scale at 200 lbs on the nose. I did an eight mile run this morning. I am planning to push my Sunday runs out to 10 miles in a couple weeks. I am getting used to the 8 mile distance. :D

Thanks everyone. Its going to be a 22 mile week after I do 5 miles tomorrow morning. I did a strong 7 miles last night. I am starting to forget about the watch lately and just enjoy my runs. I have a party to go to tomorrow so I don't have an excuse to get blue this year.

Here's a cool movie about marathoning on Hulu. It features my lakefront running path. I even know a couple people who appear in the movie, although not any of the major people featured. But, one of the guys I ran with last night is named in the credits.

Too my surprise I had another 3 lb loss dropping me under the 200 mark down to 197. Better yet I have lost over 100 pounds!!!!!! 8) 8) 8)

You are doing fantastic. Merry Christmas to you too Edgar! Have a great time at the party - don't worry about over indulging - if any one has earned a night off to eat, drink, and be merry - it is you.

I did a quick 3 miler this morning. I have been very busy and unable to post. I got a shocker the day before Christmas Eve. I found out the building I live in was sold. The previous owners said nothing to to anybody in the building. The new owners gave everyone in the building until Jan 31 to vacate. I was pretty upset over the holiday despite my weight loss because my immediate future was thown up in the air. I didn't want to post anything about it right before the holiday. All is well now. I have found a new place and move in January 6th. I will no longer be a Chicagoan though. I am moving to Palatine IL. I am going to have to find the running community there if there is one.

Good luck to ya Edgar in your move. How far is Palatine from Chicago? Will you have a long commute to work? I'm sure if there is no organized running club there, you'll find others who run without a problem (we are everywhere.... ) 8)
