That's all you can do. At least you now know what is causing the hives. and about the deviated septum.

I'm still envious of 10 bucks for 30 minutes i think it was. That is so nice!!! Even better that you liked the guy and you don't have to deal with him pushing sales at all.

Happy for you.

Try taking something like Bromelain or Quercetin, as they have anti-inflammatory properties, so you won't necessarily need to take steroid products for pain, it depends on what happens.

Also you can have the foods they come in, like Peppers, Peas, Lettuce, Apples, Onions, (Quercetin) and Pineapple, (Bromelain).

There is another substance with anti-finfoammatory type properties caleld Papain, as Bromelain and Papain are both Proteases as well, (Protein digesting enzymes), but Papain is dereived from Papaya fruit, so Papaya might a way to get mild relief from pain.

The one caveat being what is in the supplements, reletive to OTC's, because if the supplements contain something like Magnesium Sterate, a binding agent, it may be a culprit for your OTC medicine allergies, assuming the allergy is mostly tablet based OTC's.

Hey Nokie - I haven't actually joined the gym yet. I have an appointment today with a surgeon to find out if I will be having surgery to correct my deviated septum - if I go ahead with the surgery I won't be able to workout for up to 3 weeks so I decided to hold off on joining. If I end up having the surgery I will join the new gym after I am healed. If I decide not to have the surgery then I will join right away. My membership has not yet expired at my old gym so I have been going there. It has been a really busy week so I haven't had time to post any updates, but I will get around to it eventually! Hope everybody is doing great :D

By the way, why did the workout journals move?!?! I thought I was losing my mind for a minute

OK, scratch that - my appointment was just cancelled because he was called out for an emergency surgery, so it has been rescheduled to late next week :( So I will be stopping to join the new gym tonight! Now I wish I had done it sooner, I just thought I would have more answers before my membership expires.

Hopefully you'll get some kind of balance with this, as obviously it's impeding on certain things you want to do, but the main thing is you'll soon have the Septum fixed, which is positive.

GOOD LUCK.

I can't tell you how excited I am to have it fixed, mainly because I will be able to breathe through my nose while working out for the first time in my life  I have always been told to breathe through my nose, but I never could, I just thought it was my asthma/allergy issue. It's good to know it turned out to be something they can fix - hopefully

Have you experienced sleeping issues with it, like snoring, or occasional airway ventilation problems, I.E. when you have a blocked nose from a viral infection? Things that might have caused you to have erratic sleep sometimes, resulting in possible mood swings and lethargy, because if you have, the procedure should also help to reduce the frequency and / or severity of sleep problems; other sleep interfering factors excluded like stress or illness for example :).

Things like that would impact positively on your energy and encourage greater feelings of positivity, if you were able to obtain mood stability and good energy levels, with greater frequency than may currently be so.

So if there is a bigger picture that you had maybe thought did not exist, such things may improve your outlook on this thus further.

Boss Man, I am pretty sure I have sleep apnea, I have thought so for a long time. I could sleep for 8 hours a night for a month and I would still be exhausted every day. 99% of my headaches (3-5 a week) I wake up with. I often gasp so hard I wake myself up. I snore like an old man  I often have RLS and insomnia. Now it makes sense because it can be caused by a deviated septum. It actually blows my mind how many of my health issues over the years could be a side effect of this. And all of this time the doctors have blamed it on my asthma/allergies. I don't know if I mentioned this, but my breathing tests the other day show that when my asthma is not acting up, I have above average lung capacity :D :D For someone that has suffered for so many years with asthma, it is nice to hear that! I am just a little irritated that it took so many years for them to discover I have a deviated septum. All it took was a 1 minute CT scan.

I joined my new gym tonight and I am soooooo excited! It is going to save me at least 20 minutes every night because it is so much closer to home! The equipment isn't quite as state of the art as my old gym, but it is still really nice and it still gives me a great workout, so I can't complain about that  It will be so much easier to stop at the gym now because it is right on my way home and right next door to my grocery store, so it is even more convenient on the evenings I have to get groceries :D

I guess there’s not excuse for not going to the gym since it’s close by

RLS? I presume you mean Restless Leg Syndrome, the condition that causes frequent Myoclonic Jerks.

Is there a difference between an elliptical and a cross-trainer? I got on a machine last night that I thought was an elliptical but as soon as I started I noticed it felt A LOT different. The motions are different and the stance is a little different. I set it at level 10 (my normal setting on an elliptical) when I thought it was an elliptical but after the first 3 minutes I thought I was going to die so I had to reset it at a much lower level  That’s when I realized the machine said cross-trainer. Now today my calves are really sore – when I use the elliptical it seems to be more my thighs.

I really struggled to finish a full half an hour even at the lower level, so I am just really curious what the difference is between the two machines.

I think one uses a fan based rotation system and one uses a wheel based rotation system.

Sometimes you'll get ones with a water based rotation system and you might hear them sloshing around as you use them

I tend not to use such things, so I don't pay much attention to the discrepancies.
