Thanks Becky and Lynne - I will have to give those a try :) I was going to try the cinnamon tonight but the sweet potato I steamed was bad inside so I had to go without tonight. So I had to settle for my grilled shrimp and grilled veggies (red and yellow peppers, mushrooms, and zucchini). Yum! I am going to do the fresh shrimp on the grill once a week because it makes my mouth water just thinking about it :D

I am finally going to weigh in tomorrow morning - I can't forget because I took my scale out of the drawer and set it in front of my shower  I think I can officially start working out tomorrow night, yay! My nose is feeling pretty good (finally!!!) - aside from a little incidence with the dogs this morning  But the pain didn't last too long, so I know it is healing enough to workout now. I will probably stick to one of my dvds. I want to be at home the first few times just in case it really starts hurting - the last thing I want is a bloody nose at the gym

Hope everyone had a fabulous weekend :D

Scratch that. No sleep = no workout  I went to bed last night at 10:00 and at 10:30 I got the call that my sister was on her way to the hospital to have her baby :D So I was out the door by 10:36 and crawled back into bed at 6:00 am. But I got to watch my new sweet little niece being born :D :D It's about time we got another girl in the family - the first 2 were girls, then there were 5 boys. So I am pretty darned excited to have another little girl to spoil

After crawling into bed at 6:00, I crawled right back out at 7:45 so I could get to work (luckily my boss is great and he let me work from home today, so I didn't have to make the 45 minute commute!)

So even though my scale was sitting right in front of my shower, it didn't get used  And I think I am safer getting back into my workout routine tomorrow night after I get a little shut eye tonight...

Congrats on the new addition to your family! I spoil my niece rotten. :D Love buying "girlie" clothes and jewelry. Just having my son, I kinda missed out on all of that.

Get some sleep, the scale will wait. :D

I finally started working out last week - not as much as I had hoped, since I spent a ton of time with my new niece, but I got a couple of DVDs in. But since Saturday I have have had one blow after another.

On Saturday I planned on doing a 20 mile bike ride with my sister - I went to the garage to make sure the tires were aired up and my bike is gone  Why do people think that they can just help themselves to whatever they want  I was fuming, I can't believe it was stolen - it was there a few weeks ago. So frustrating.

Then yesterday I was at lunch (keep in mind I was sitting the whole time) and when I stood up something was wrong with my foot, I almost fell over. The pain was so bad I barely made it back to my desk. It feels dislocated or something. It is a little better today, but I am still limping.

Now this morning my mom had to put her dog down - she has been in our family for 17 years

I guess it just isn't my week. If my foot isn't feeling better by tomorrow I am going to go get it looked at. It is just crazy how it happened - I didn't even do anything to it!

I am not really as cranky as I sound right now! Just venting a little. On a good note, I have at least been good with my diet so I guess that is a good start.

Try not to let things get to you too much and keep on believing. You have so much you can do and so much you can change about your physical future.

You are always a wonderful light, so keep smiling and be proud of how much you've done in recent years because you ARE making things happen :).

I have a benign tumor on my foot - nothing serious. She was going to put me on an anti-inflammatory but I am allergic to the basic ones and I didn't want to go on a steroid so I declined. It sounds like it will heal itself, I just have to be patient. So hopefully it doesn't take too long so I can get back to my workouts!

If it failed to go away the other option would be a surgical one, which might have to be explored, if the tumour got worse, or became a constant source of pain, emotional irritation, or a hinderance to some of the things you like doing or might want to do.

So GOOD LUCK with that and I really hope it works out for you and goes away of its own accord :).

Yeah, I am hoping it doesn't get that far - I don't want another surgery  I feel like I am falling apart  But I guess if it needs to happen this is the year to do it since I already hit my annual out of pocket maximum for my insurance so I wouldn't have to pay for it :D I am supposed to go back in if it doesn't get any better within a week, or if it gets worse. It's actually feeling pretty decent tonight - I have been icing it pretty well.

It's not too bad. Actually, I am ignoring the pain and have been taking 2.5 to 3.5 mile walks every day. The pain isn't as bad as it was last week, so I don't think I am doing any extra damage - hopefully :D  I just can't stand keeping off of it so I figured walking would be a good first step - no pun intended  I think I am going to try doing one of my videos tomorrow night just to see how it holds up.

That's making my mouth water! You've inspired me to get some shrimp and put it on the grill, I've never done that before.

i had a schwananoma on my wrist which is almost always a benign tumor. It wasn't painful but it was a decent size and i could move it. LOL Seriously i could move it from one position to another it was a little gross. So i got it removed which i'm happy about. but my scar is a little long. and i did have some scar tissue but that might be my own fault because i didn't really massage it after the surgery. if you get surgery on it make sure to ask how to massage your scars after the surgery that helps in reducing scar tissue i believe.

Plus side too i had basically an arm cast on my arm which is definitely kind of a nice boost when walking around people are a little nicer and it's a conversation starter. i think it must be like being pregnant feels like attention wise. :)

this is definitely the time to think about it if your insurance pays for it and no deductible if you want to do that!!

The severe pain really only lasted a few days, but I can still feel it a bit. It's nothing I am too worried about, and it hasn't kept me from exercising, so for now I am just going to assume it will be fine :) However, I broke a toe this weekend  I am beginning to feel like a walking time bomb   Who breaks their toe by dropping a dvd player on it???? It really hurts, and it is really purple. I decided I could probably start dressing in colors to match my injuries :D

But on the bright side, if I tape it up well I can still workout, so I am not letting it get in my way. This summer has been crazy busy, but I have lost a few pounds. I am not stepping on the scale frequently because it tends to get me down, so I think that helps. I do have a lot of work to do to clean up my diet, though. It's all in the preparation, so I have to work on that!
