Scary! Sorry it's been a rather hectic week. You will be back on track in no time. And if you look at this way you probably needed a few days off for the shins anyways. You do need to take time for yourself but i know it's hard with family obligations, work, friends, etc. It's a hard balancing act sometimes and have a lot on your plate so it's understandable that you feel that way. :)

I'm sending you a BIG HUG.

You need to just remember that you have a life too and if you're not there for yourself adequately, you'll just end up potentially burning out and being less use to others.

You're human and it's okay, more than okay Jocelyn, but don't ovestretch yourself, physically, mentally and emotionally, because it will do you no good in the long-term.

You are a true Lady a real sweetheart and really beautiful person to be around.

I am thinking of you and all my strength, and understanding is unconditionally at your disposal, so don't ask, just take what you need and if you need to talk, PM me and we'll work things through :).

Keep believing in yourself and don't forget to be good to yourself too, because you have been doing great lately and I have been and still remain really, really proud of you and I want you to keep taking the time to focus on you and to keep believing that your life and others needs, can co-exist, without too much upheavel or a serious disruption of progress or mindset.

Be stong, chin up and best wishes okay :).

You are a wonderful Lady.

THANK YOU :).

It seems like one thing right after another lately :( I just found out there was a 7.1 mag earthquake off the coast of Alaska and there is now a tsunami warning - my parents are in the vicinity of the warnings. They have really crappy phone service so it is really hard to reach them. We basically just have to sit here and pray that they are ok and that we will hear from them soon :(

Last night I just did 30 minutes on the elliptical. My heart wasn't really in it, but I trudged through. I am leaving town tonight and will return Sunday night so I won't be getting any exercise. Monday is Labor Day so my gym is closed (go figure, when I don't have to work my gym closes!). So I will probably do one of my DVDs to get back in the workout mode.

Trying to keep a smile on my face, although inside I am crying! I know it will get better so I just have to focus on that right now. Not sure how much more my family and I can take :|

EDIT: The tsunami warning has been called off :D What a relief! Now I just wish we would hear from them!

I'm glad you chose the alternative exercise, rather than the no exercise. It shows how much your mindset is changing in a positive way.

I know things are hard right now, but keep believing and keep your chin up, because it CAN get better.

We ARE here for you.

I feel like I have been MIA a lot lately! I just wanted to give a quick update. I am doing great. I have really been focused on excercise and diet the last couple of weeks. I haven't had any spare time to post or keep up with journals, but I have stayed on track, finally! I am afraid to weigh myself but I can feel a bit of a change in the way my pants are fitting, so I am going to go by that for now

Hope everybody is doing great, I will hopefully be able to catch up on journals in the next few days :D

Great to hear you have been consistent and trust me, it doesn't matter if you can't post as much, because if you're using the time to train and make improvement, that's what matters most.

We're here to support you and look out for you, but if you coming here frequently, hinders your ability to make the time to train and thereby hinders your progress, then this site is not in your best interests, in the frequency with which you use it.

So if you have to scale down your use of this site to put your own needs first, that's the most important thing.

Your progress and wellbeing matter first and foremost, where you and I are concerned and I will continue to support you and be behind you all the way Jocelyn :).

So if you feel you need at any time, to take more time off from this site, to focus more on your progress and training, please do that, because you deserve to take the time to make progress and you ARE worth it :).

I'm sending you a BIG HUG and I'm letting you know, I'm really proud of you and I want to say THANK YOU for all the support and beautiful words you keep giving us. you are WONDERFUL and it means a lot to this community, to have your heart, humanity and pure emotion, making a small, touching and beautiful difference.

Please don't stop making that difference and especially to yourself okay :).

WELL DONE on the consistency and KEEP IT UP.

You ROCK Sweetheart.

:) :).

No, I have been scared of the treadmill since my last shin splints :( I may work up the courage next week! I miss running so I need to give it a try again.
