No offense intended but which of those 5 things counts as a physical "exercise", which I believe 100%, was what was being asked about?

well cardio and diet is the number one thing, but beyond that

crunches
oblique crunches
ball crunches
bicycles
leg raises
machine crunches

pick 3-4 of those and do 20 reps for 3 rounds, just a basic starter program, keep committed and feel free to ask me any questions!

Many people don't get machine crunches right. They just have a poor seating height and may use too much weight.

Considering they have so many options involving cable machines, and bodyweighted stuff with mats, benches and balls, nobody really needs to use an Abs machine in my opinion.

I'm not being criticial just giving a point of view :)

I think Joe pretty much nailed it, but a small waist is really from diet.
