does hanging from a bar give v-shape

1 of my friend suggested me to hang on a bar with wide grip to get v-shape
Is this true? I mean i have heard that getting v-shape is very difficult?

The V shape is down to have good Lat spread. I doubt just hanging on a Bar utilising a wide grip would do anything much, but be a kind of static stretch, but were you to be referring to wide grip pullups, pulling yourself up so your Nose just misses the Bar, then potentially it could help, but the only way to know would be to try it for a few weeks and see.

What Bossman said is correct. Hanging won't do much of anything and there is no muscular contraction. Wide-Grip Pull-Downs or Wide-Grip Pull-Ups are a great way to get lats flaring outward. If your goal is to simply just get a V-shape, be sure to mix things up a bit and do other lat exercises in your routine, don't just focus on wide-grip items.

The lats are some of the strongest muscles in the body, be sure to use proper form and technique while executing lat exercises. If you can, try installing a pull-up bar in your home to allow easy access to one of the best lat exercises out there.

I have a pull up bar up at home i can only do 1 more than that is never possible
