I cant do Oblique V-ups!
I have been going to the gym for more than a year now and i've always been avoiding excising love handles because i have a minor scoliosis. Im very cautious when the exercise is concerning me bending body to the left or to the right.
The only exercise that i can remember doing specifically to lose love handles was side bends (dumbbell was only at 40lbs) and i do more reps on weak side.
anyway, i want to know any exercise i can substitute with Oblique V-ups (except side bends). or anyway i can make oblique v-ups easier (BTW, i heard that lifting only 1 leg will make it easier which does, but weak side cant still do it)
im hung up on this because im following p90x (started 4 weeks ago) and this is the only sole exercise i cant follow! (some insane YOGA stances too LOL)

Hi Raiden, excuse the lateness of this reply.
One thing you can try if you're trying to work the obliques is side planks. The main thing to remember not ot do which a lot of people do do, is not to prop yourself up on the palm of your hand, as that can cause potential stressing of the wrist and the carpal tunnel and surrounding bones.
You would be advised if you do side planks to prop yourself up using the forearm, as you get more stability and better weight distribution. You will sacrifice a small amount of angle with the body, but it makes the exercise a much lesser risk of injury.
