Forgive me for ignorance in this matter, but I was under the impression that yoga is a low impact, low exertion exercise. Is it really necessary to be using supplements to assist in your yoga practice or are these more for general wellness but would also assist in yoga? Thanks.

The short answer is no.
Supplements may, for example with bodybuilding, help with progression of physical improvement, but they do not allow you to achieve any physical goal that an appropriate diet plan cannot allow for.
Supplements have health benefits for sure, depending on what they are and how safely and considerately you dose them, but they at best enhance well being, but as stated above they do not facilitate results that an appropriate diet plan cannot allow for.

In views, it is not recommended to take yoga supplements but a few people who want better results in no time take them. B12, multivitamin, and probiotics are a few essential yoga supplements if you want yoga benefits within two or three weeks.

If people want to experience benefits from yoga, why would taking any supplements make the benefits happen faster or be more pronounced?
That's not to say that the aforementioned supplements don't work and that I am dismissing them, but in relation to how yoga improves peoples wellbeing, I don't see any relevant tie-up between those mentioned supplements and yoga.
