I would like to weigh in on the squats conversation: Contrary to popular belief, squatting is not bad for your knees, hips, or back, when done correctly. Every time you sit down and stand up from the toilet, you are doing a squat! Check out this video on squatting technique, and keep your weight on your heels and your chest up at all costs! :P

How is everything else going?

I totally concur.

The only issue regards Knees if you go below 90 degrees. Some say never, some say it depends who you are, but I prefer a don't do it scenario, because you wouldn't know if you could og below 90 degrees on a regular basis and be okay and if you were not such a person, you'd get injured.

Unless doing something carries minimal risk I'd avoid it personally.

It's better for minimizing risk, you're right, but only if the technique of the squat is bad.

In CrossFit we always go below 90 degrees/below parallel. It's the full range of motion of that joint, which strengthens the whole range of motion of that joint. It has to be done properly though to avoid injury - no knees over toes, and all the weight on the heels.

Hello all, first week of my vow to workout and eat well really didn't work. I ended up having a stress problem and couldn't sleep for two days and couldn't stomach eating for four days. I only worked out on Sunday. Hopefully, it gets better this week.

I have Tuesday off from work, sadly, and fortunately, so I'll have a little extra time that morning. c:

Yeah, I definitely hope so too. I think the worst thing about that was people kept getting angry at me for not eating. I just, couldn't, like even looking at food made me upset and somewhat nauseous. The not sleeping things wasn't THAT bad, except I was paranoid that I was going to fall asleep and miss my Japanese Oral exam.

I ate pretty well all weekend, like, salad and fruits and I ate a huge plate of steamed veggies one day. I absolutely looove the green giant steamers things, so quick and easy and delightful c: I really need to cook more, I did eat out a few times this weekend, but I ate healthily, in fact, I even had lettuce on a sandwich at potbelly's, I normally hate lettuce on sandwiches (I love baby spinach on sandwiches though) so I'm just trying to find ways I can sneak more veggies into my diet, because I snack on fruit a lot, but I don't eat as much as far as veggies go unless I eat salads or steamed veggies. I'm hoping to actually do my working out this week, along with eating more healthily.

Welp, it's been another week and I've been extremely busy again. :/ I haven't had a chance to go to the gym, but at least I've been eating healthier.

Hey, y'all. My cold is gone, praise the heavens, and I'm feeling pretty good, one of my classes is cancelled today since it's downtown and as you may or may not know, the NATO summit is down there today so the downtown campus for DePaul is closed. I'm going to be joining in a group of YouTubers that are engaging in "Project Lose an Olsen Twin" (haha) I think it will be kinda cool to interact with the community that follows Philip DeFranco, who is a prominent YouTuber that I watch very regularly. We'll see what happens there. I'm hoping that I can go to the gym today and ACTUALLY get started in my plans to lose weight. I also bought a summer dress a while ago (which is pretty shocking) and I'm going to see if I can wear it without feeling like I'm going to die of embarrassment. Haha.

The main thing is to keep believing and not to give up on yourself, because you ARE worth it :).

How what went? (Sorry, I'm a little spacey)

Trying my hardest to keep my head up, Bossman!

Went to the gym this morning and had a peachy keen smoothie (it's banana, mange, apple juice, honey, and lowfat yogurt) with protein powder for my breakfast/postworkout meal.
Hoping to keep my eating going well. c:

The dress I ordered came in the mail today... I tried it on and it looks absolutely horrendous. It fits terribly. It's generally too large, but it clings a little on the broadest part of my hips which makes it look absolutely gross.

In terms of food, I have forgotten to eat since my smoothie at 10:30. I'll eat soon...
