Great job Fat-to Fit!!
You are doing great things for your health and you should be proud!
I need to drink more water like you. You have just inspired me to make a new goal for myself. Thanks!!

Re: quitting soda forever
Fit to Fit....kudos to you. husband and I were BIG diet Dr. Pepper drinkers and unfortunately with age started to bother us. So we quit cold turkey and believe me when I say we drank a lot of it. Our only beverage of choice besides coffee and tea. We bought 20+ bottles a week of the liter size bottles. Have been off of it now for good 10 years and we were so surprised when we didn't miss it anymore. Nor did we miss the upper chest gasp ains anymore either. So I give you kudos and wish you all the best. We drink water only and have ice tea (homemade with lemon and very little sugar for me) and Lipton's diet ice tea for hubby and feel much better in that department.

I've gotten into a bad habit probably started in 2008. of drinking fountain drinks. pepsi with ice. great Sue that you were able to kick the habit and for ten years now! that is awesome. ice tea is a nice replacement.
I really like to sip on it on hot days or while i work. Ice water does help though and tastes good.
thanks for the responses Sue and Chris.

Re: quitting soda forever
Oh Fat to Fit, Lipton makes a package of 24 Family Size Tea Bag which are specially blended for ice tea, I use 5 of them for a gallon container and I have a glass each night after we have our coffee after dinner and I pour a 12 ounce glass that lasts me till about 10 p.m. when I switch to water...and I get 7 days out of it, plus another glasses on Sunday afternoon. So it's great for the money ($2.99) and gets you almost 5 weeks too. Plus if you like yours lighter you might be able to use 4 bags.
Continued success to you.

I haven't lost a lot of weight. I've gained a lot but not lost it. I was at highest weight last winter/fall. I'm down 14 pounds. and have quite a ways to go. that pic of me is when i was thin. i started gaining weight back in 2008. I wish i was a mom sometimes but i don't have children. just dog.whenlifewassimpler wrote:Like yourself lost a lot of weight

LMAO get out of there!!
Doesn't help when you're trying to achieve a goal like no soda and caffeine.. Especially when Caffeine is what would keep you awake in the flipping meeting!
