Clueless food plan, suggestions?

Postby Mel-x » Wed May 20, 2009 2:09 am

Ok so, I have to admit, although I spend a lot of time reading about nutrition I have no idea what I should be eating.
The plan so far for two days goes something like this:

Breakfast = Yogurt
Lunch = Lean meat
Dinner = Bread and soup

AND

Breakfast = Fruit
Lunch = Chicken / tuna salad
Dinner = Fish and green beans

Today I'll start going to the gym again, the last 10 lbs are always the hardest to lose!
Do you have any suggestions for me?

Breakfast = Fruit

(I'd add more protein in here, like Eggs, Chicken, Turkey etc etc. Give the fruit time to digest, so don't eat anything for about 10-15 minutes afterwards)

(You need a meal in here as well. You could go for something like Low Fat Cheese, Peanuts, a small sandwhich etc etc.)

Lunch = Chicken / tuna salad

(That's fine but limit Tuna to 2-3 times a week, due to the Mercury.)

(Need another snack here, in the same mould as earlier.)

Dinner = Fish and green beans

(Not if you've been eating Tuna, I wouldn't, I'd change this for something else. If you eat low Mercury Fish, then you could have a bit here, if you'd had a bit earlier, and the Beans would be okay.)

(Can also have a small snack here as well. Similar to earlier, so just play around with a few things.)

Suggestion

You can eat veggies, pick ones you like. I pick ones I like & chop them up & have a salad of sorts. I'm not a fan of lettus, so I do cucumbers, bell peppers, all colors, jicama, green olive . . . . Again, I eat the veggies I like. Add your tuna or chicken to it. It's easy & healthy. Enjoy your food too. :lol:
