Wolf has another question :)

Postby wolfen147 » Sun Oct 11, 2009 10:47 am

Hi again! :D So I thought of another question. Everyone seems to be saying eat 6 palm-sized meals a day. I'm finding it hard to have time for 6 meals. Maybe I'm just being stupid with my time or something, but I'm wondering when you guys eat your meals and what do you usually eat?

Thanks in advance!

It is hard to get in that many meals. Just do the best that you can, especially since you are in school and it may not be feasible to eat quite like that. I tend to carry around snacks with me and munch at will.

It should also be noted that "lunch" and "dinner" for some people can be pretty involved affairs. Plates, cutlery, candle light, whole 9 yards. Doing *that* six times a day wold be very difficult. I tend to just grab a few things and sorta munch while doing whatever else it is I do. I'm rarely home, so going prepared helps a lot. Plus, if you don't have some of the options you have at home (mm's stash), you HAVE to eat better, since you don't have any other choice!

What do you usually bring around? I'm allowed to eat in every one of my classes so I can definitely much throughout the day.

*deep breath*

applesauce, peanutbutter w ww crackers or veggies sticks, celery carrot avocado green bell pepper slices, LF mozzarella string cheese (check protein/fat content), yogurt (check sugar content) w bran, 1/2 turkey sandwich, FF cottage cheese, nuts, HB eggs, chicken chunks (I bake chicken in bite size pieces and snack on em, sometimes on WW bread for a quick sandwich).

Right now celery sticks and PB are my favorite (: pick a couple proteiny things and some veggie things. Generally the carby things work themselves out!

Awesome. I'm baking some thin chicken breasts tonight to bring to school for a sandwich fot lunch, and some HB eggs, celery sticks, and a protein bar. This weekend kinda destroyed my metabolism because I went out to a chinese buffet with friends ..< I only had some chicken and potatoes, lots of broccoli. My friends thought something was wrong with me xD

Hey good job!

Chinese was my downfall for the longest. Loved that stuff (: It really does get easier the longer you do it. And I don't know if you've read some of Cassie's things lately, but she mentions some really good points. After awhile, your body just can't handle it anymore! I had a Dr Pepper last night (With chicken strips and veggie sticks) and I just could *not* handle it. I had a terrible headache and an upset tummy all night! I couldn't even stay up to watch the UF LSU game! Ugh!

Keep it up, and enjoy your lunch tomorrow! I bet you anything you feel a LOT better than if you were eating school food!

As a matter of fact, I've had a headache the majority of the day.I took a nap and it went away but ugh! Just looking at the crap in the buffet made my appetite almost disappear!

A funny thing happens when you eat "clean" for a while. The old stuff will start to turn your stomach. Strange.

All week long I live on (it seems) chicken breast, turkey, cheese and egg whites. I only eat red meat once a week (Friday night) and I have a Double-O burger at the local bistro (2 burgers, bacon, cheddar, barbeque sauce, onions, and a slice of tomato--no bun, no potatoes). After the burger I'm constantly popping those "curiosly strong peppermints" because of the red-meat after taste. It never used to have an after taste; it does now.

Wow that sounds awesome. I love red meat, but I don't eat it often.
