This is an awesome idea. Don't rely on it too much, but I do this when I'm running late (always) and on school days. I have a 5 hours class with a 5 minute break between labs, so I generally run out in the hall, add water, and chug. I'd rather have celery and pb sticks, but the shake works great in a pinch!

I eat a lot of turkey sandwiches too. If you're getting bored with the chicken. Also sirloin (with wild rice and brocco, my favvv!!)

Hi there,

For protein... chicken is great but i can't believe you don't get sick of it! I get tired of it really quickly! Fish is a great option... tilapia, salmon, steelhead, tuna, cod, orange roughy.. lots of choices there. Cottage cheese is another option. I don't care for it too much plain but its great because you can sweeten it by adding a bit of protein powder and even peanut butter or add things like fruit (I like mine with zucchini). Low fat cheese and greek yogurt are also great. Greek yogurt is loaded with protein and has less sugar than regular yogurt. Lean beef is a great option... You can do so much with lean ground beef (I buy diet lean so it has less than 7% fat) you can do tacos, meat loaf, stuffed burgers (I mix a couple eggwhites and a bit of oatmeal in the beef then add things like chopped peppers, mushrooms, salsa, and fat free cheese. Make these into patties and bake or grill them up. Tasty!). With beef you can also do chili, taco salad, or add brown rice, salsa, peppers, olives, and onions to the beef and make a spanish rice type of dish. The possibilities are endless! Also, turkey is a great option. Many stores sell sliced turkey breast. Lean pork chops are also good. There really are lots of options for protein out there. You just have to get creative because it does get old after a while eating the same foods everyday.

Great job!

Les do you ever do greek yogurt? I just recently discovered it... 1/2 c has 14 grams protein 6 grams carbs (6 grams sugar). Tastes alot like plain yogurt. Its awesome. I love it.. love love love love love it. You should try it if you haven't already.
