3:30-I've decided to start bringing a scoop of protein powder in a baggy to my sister's house and make a protein shake with some of their fruits and veggies they alway buy but never eat :P
6:30-Dinner: Probabaly another turkey sandwich with a side salad(with some spinach, yum!)
9:15-post-W/O Smoothie: 1 small banana, ff yogurt, some orange juice and 1 scoop protein powder

And there we have it.

Also, I've been running out of options for meat ideas. I love chicken, and I don't get sick of it, but I think my dad is starting to :P Or even any yummy recipes would be great! I think i remember a healthy recipes section on this site, I'll go check it out now!

Hi there,

For protein... chicken is great but i can't believe you don't get sick of it! I get tired of it really quickly! Fish is a great option... tilapia, salmon, steelhead, tuna, cod, orange roughy.. lots of choices there. Cottage cheese is another option. I don't care for it too much plain but its great because you can sweeten it by adding a bit of protein powder and even peanut butter or add things like fruit (I like mine with zucchini). Low fat cheese and greek yogurt are also great. Greek yogurt is loaded with protein and has less sugar than regular yogurt. Lean beef is a great option... You can do so much with lean ground beef (I buy diet lean so it has less than 7% fat) you can do tacos, meat loaf, stuffed burgers (I mix a couple eggwhites and a bit of oatmeal in the beef then add things like chopped peppers, mushrooms, salsa, and fat free cheese. Make these into patties and bake or grill them up. Tasty!). With beef you can also do chili, taco salad, or add brown rice, salsa, peppers, olives, and onions to the beef and make a spanish rice type of dish. The possibilities are endless! Also, turkey is a great option. Many stores sell sliced turkey breast. Lean pork chops are also good. There really are lots of options for protein out there. You just have to get creative because it does get old after a while eating the same foods everyday.

Great job!

Cassie

The lady at GNC toldme about greek yogurt, I have NO IDEA where to get it >.> But i really do wanna try it! I bought ff cc and I haven't touched it >.< I forget..a lot. I'll buy some more and try it with some strawberries or something. Thanks guys!

Greek yogurt is awesome! I had a hard time finding it too. I found that places like Wal-Mart don't carry it and finally found some at a higher end market that we have in town (one that carries alot of organic and "health food" type products). I'm not sure what grocery stores you have around you, but just shop around. Its found in the yogurt aisle (obviously. Lol!).

Totally forgot to list todays foods:

6:30-Breakfast: 1 eggwhite+1 whole egg, oatmeal, glass of orange juice
9:30-Midmorning Snack: Tuna sandwich on ww bread with lettuce and lf cheese, some 100% all-natural chips, water
12:30-Lunch: I couldn't fit anything into my damned lunch box! So I had a Promax protein bar and water
3:30-Midafternoon Snack: Mixed some protein powder into a glass of milk, then added a tiny bit of chocolate syrup to make it taste good.
6:30-Dinner:Turkey melts on ww bread with lf cheese, used low-fat butter to lightly grease the pan, salad, water
9:15-Post-W/O Smoothie: 1 small banana, some ff yogurt, orange juice, and 1 scoop protein powder.

I totally spaced on the question I was going to ask! I'll think and post it later.

Gah I've fallen behind! School stuff is crazy! But lately I've noticed that My eating schedule is getting messy. Like I tried to eat breakfast today and I just couldn't do it. My body wouldn't let me eat the oatmeal, and the eggs were just unappetizing. It's mainly with breakfast, though.

Here are today's meals:

6:30-Just some oatmeal (my dad tried to boil some eggs but they still had raw yolks, ew!), orange juice
9:30-Turkey sandwich on ww bread with lettuce, cheese, and mustard, water
12:30-Promax protein bar, water
3:30-Protein drink and some goldfish crackers (I'm working on keeping food at my sister's place)
6:30-ww spaghetti with lean beef sauce, salad, water
9:30-Post-W/O smoothie containing 1/2 of a large banana (different store didn't sell small ones, wtf?), ff yogurt, orange juice, and a scoop of protein powder.

Hey there stranger! I'm glad you posted today as i was getting ready to check on you. If you can't do the oatmeal that is perfectly fine! There are lots of other foods you can eat instead. A sandwich works, an eggwhite omelete with whole wheat toast or even "fried" sweet potatoes (cooked in no stick pan and nonstick spray), high fiber whole grain low sugar cereal with some cottage cheese on the side would work, cottage cheese with fruit works... by no means do you have to force yourself to eat oatmeal if youre struggling with it. There are lots of other food choices out there.

Meals look good friend! You're doing great! I'm proud of you for recognizing that your eating schedule was getting a little messy and getting back on track. :)

Hello! Thanks Cassie! That makes me feel cared for :D

Tomorrow's meal plan:

6:30-ff cc, either 1 eggwhite or some peanut butter, ww toast, orange juice (I've been thinking of having a glass of milk as well)
9:30-Tuna sandwich on ww bread with lettuce and cheese, banana, water
12:30-Promax protein bar, water (this seems to be my toughest class to eat in. It's english class and idk how my teacher feels about food. I'm going to explain my situation though:))
3:30-I need to change my protein drink, right now it consists of a scoop of powder in milk, which I add choc. milk mix to to make it taste better. but I read the label and it has high fructose corn syrup, which I have been brainwashed to know it's very bad!
6:30-I'm learning to cook in school so I'm going to try my hand at grilled chicken, brown rice, steamed broccoli, possibly a small salad, water
9:15-Post-W/O smoothie containing 1/2 large banana, ff yogurt, orange juice and a scoop of protein powder.

Also for the cereals, you can get the kind that look like rabbit food (fiber one or flax plus, both taste/look like dirt) and spike it with multigrain cheerios and walnuts. Slice a banana up on top. Mmm (:

Well of course your cared for silly! I think I speak for everybody when i say that we are ALL pulling for you to meet your goals!

As for the protein drink... I think i would take out the choc milk mix at thats probably adding sugar and other stuff that you really don't need. For your first meal... what if you took out that orange juice and replaced it with real fruit?

Good luck on talking to your teacher! Hopefully he/she understands... I would think they would after you explained the situation?

Great job!

The only reason I don't replace my morning OJ with solid fruit is that the only thing in it is oranges and some water. It's purely natural. As for the protein drink I bought some lite muscle milk to have either in the morning when I can't really eat too much, or whenever I won't have a solid protein source for the scheduled time frame.

So I couldn't find any wheatabix at a reasonable price. $5 for 1 box is a little too ridiculous. Any other suggestions other than oatmeal?

Biscuit Cereal, bigger the box the better.

Bigger boxes are better to buy in bulk, because even though you're getting 2x the cereal, you shouldn't get 2x the packaging, so it's cheaper compared to something like 2 or 4 smaller boxes, depending on the amount they have.

Small buscuit and flake cereals, in some cases are as nutritious and healthy, but being able to have so many individual cereal pieces in a bowl, means it's harder to track what you consume, meaning you might use them a little more frequently, unless you anally count the pieces daily, to use exactly the same each time.

Frankly it's not hard to count 2 or 3 big buscuits.

I found Wheatabix: Minibix: Oat and Honey at the local grocery store. 1 serving is 1 cup of cereal. And it's like 100% organic, but yummy at the same time.
