I can understand that all to well nokie! I'm not really too far into weight loss but it does feel good to feel like i'm doing something to improve myself instead of in misery and feeling bad about the crap i've ingested into body.

I hope those people you help really appreciate that you do that for them! I wish i had a nokie in life to call. :sunshine: :sunshine:

Congrats on the 25 pounds loss that is no small feat :!:

Unfortunately, I have to admit... I’m not where I want to be yet! In some ways, I’m a bit embarrassed to admit how much weight I’ve gained after wedding. But I guess learning from the past mistakes will help me make better decisions for future because I don’t want to be in that miserable position again!!!

You basically just summed up the same issues I have! You may not be where you want to be but you're learning from your mistakes and you are going to get there :) keep it up. :D

Hey girl, good to hear from you. :D Yeah, I try not to be so hard on myself and sometimes remind myself I'm only human.

8/25/14 – Monday
7:30AM – Coffee, scramble egg whites with spinach & 2 turkey paddies
9:30AM – Mixed fruit cup (strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, cantaloupe & melon)
12:00PM – Spicy chicken & green beans
3:00PM – Quest bar
6:00PM – Grilled chicken & kale smoothie
8:00PM – Full body weights workout

So far, I am not losing anymore or gaining any weights. I think I’m slowly slipping as I’m picking on this and that with random cravings… Bad me! I can see it’s fault and yes, it’s pretty frustrating. I will need a lot of discipline for this coming weekend as I’m going to Los Angeles… A little 6 to 9 hours of driving depending on traffic!

If it wasn’t for one of close girlfriend calling and crying on the phone I wouldn’t go! But it is what it is and I’m going to be her support in whatever challenges life takes her. Now, challenge is NOT to eat junk and drink like crazy! So, having said that, I need to make plans and start packing some snacks! Yes… QUEST Bar!!!

Your boxing classes sound kind of cool. 8) is your head at all vulnerable to concussions and stuff like that with boxing?

How did your weekend with your friend go? I know how easy it is to lose sight if your goals on trips like that, but I know you can get past it!

Updates: 10/22/14

Hi All….

I didn’t realize I’ve been gone this long. Things have been going crazy in such a fast pace. Finally things are somewhat slowing down a bit getting back to “normal”.

First and foremost, I did NOT gain weight. I actually lost some and FINALLY, I can fit in to some of old jeans before marriage!!! I still have a few pounds to go but it’s getting there!!!!

goal is to incorporate more complex carbs since I’ve been limited a lot of carbs. I will still cut out a lot of sugary stuff and will try to add more weights routines.

work has kept me busy. As I mentioned before, there were a lot of favoritism & nepotism in department. Well, last month… 2 major players were forced to retired early or leave the company. They did something to violate the company’s policy which opened an investigation and lead towards all HR files and complaints. So, they were removed from their high positions. Due to the violation things got complicated as our department is being watch constantly so I’m afraid to even surf the net because we have new management and VPs and have tons of audits reviewing our work and etc… Nevertheless, the tensions and discrimination are gone!

However, while these were going on at work… father was hospitalized for weeks. It was so nerve racking as red blood cell was so low he needed a blood transfusion. I believe his hemoglobin was 6 counts and he blacked out. He had to stay in the hospital to do testing as they did not know how it got so low and they thought it was some kind of bleeding…. Still NOTHING and need to do more tests. I had to work from 6AM-12PM rush to the hospital from 1PM to 7-8PM every day to make sure I get to talk to doctor, nurse, surgeon, specialist, etc… I might have lost some weight there in an unhealthy way as I couldn’t eat of sleep well while stress was up in the air.

But anyways, he is out and much better condition. We still need to do more testing like the camera capsule test. I think it’s called Capsule endoscopy. I’ll update deits and workout later when I have more time.

Sorry to hear about your Dad Nokie but glad he is doing better!! I hate hospitals and going daily.

Great job on the weight loss but yes you probably did lose some of it from stress and worry. But still great job. :)
