I'm relating to you a lot right now, Nokie! Like Becky said, what do you think about a new goal? My 4 week "no cheating" goal is really kicking my ass with nutrition, but it's forcing discipline where none previously existed, so it's working in a way.

Food is tough. It's a chemical-relationship that we have with our brains and bodies, we use it to cope, celebrate, grieve, and to distract ourselves. Plus it just tastes good and feels nice to have treats! I know what it's like and I'm sorry it feels so badly right now. You're feisty about it though and I know you can focus and make a goal. Step 1: Make a goal Step 2: then follow-through and make yourself proud again. You can do it!

Hey Nokie, hope everything is going well for you! I think it is pretty common to get in a slump after all you have been through. Your craziness sort of ended after the honeymoon and now it has to be hard to stay motivated - but keep your chin up! I know you will get back to where you were, you are an amazingly strong woman :D I am in the same boat, though, I was having a hard time motivating myself (even though I have a goal of going to Florida in November) but I finally got myself going again. Try not to be too hard on yourself! Sending hugs your way :D

Hey Becky,

I've been wanting to update my journal but haven't have time. My job function completely changed every since I came back to from my vacation... like MORE work with deadlines so it's hard for me to login during work hours. After work, I've been going to my parents house often and taking my dad to the hospital.. Its a bit hard and It's been tiring. However, I do read people's journals when I'm at the waiting room and just reading comments... to keep me motivated even tho i'm not as active... I hope I can better manage my time... :|

THANK YOU ALL for your positive POSTS. Although I haven't replied back... I did read ALL of them! I have been working on a regular routine! :D

Update - Workout
I've been trying to write down my long term & short term goals. Also, I've been working out after work when I don't get to workout at the gym. Yeah, it's NOT every day but I am slowly going jogging after work and trying to make it a routine. And when I don't go to my parent's house and just don't feel like jogging... I come home and do weights/kick boxing right away before I do anything else.

Update - Diet
A struggle as always... Sometimes I don't get to eat when in the hospital but after, I sometimes pig out or I just sleep it off... depending what time I get home.. b/c I still need to work early in the morning the next day. However, I've been better the last few days... I'll eat my carbs a certain time and during dinner.. I try to only have veggie with proteins and/or leafy green with proteins. It's getting there. I'm going to start packing my lunches again.. Save money & calories

I hope you all are doing well.. :D

The one thing you should be really proud of is the plan B's.

I can't workout sometimes when I'd like, so I go jogging. I can't workout before work, so I come home and do something afterwards.

That's the mentality that can eventually win you the war, because it would be too easy to say, yeah what I wanted to do at time X on day X, went out of the window, oh well never mind; but it takes a bit more forethought allows you to give the situation lattitude, so you don't have to let it dictate what you can and can't do.

I know you can do this misses and I want it greatly, but not for me but for you, because you deserve to a happy healthy future. You're a fantastic person and when you come on the community and contribute to other peoples situation and have good, positive things to say, you always, always add great value to the comminuty and you are absolutely 100% appreciated.

You've been here for a long time now and it's always a pleasure to have you around and you are someone that is missed when you're not around, but if you keep believing in yourself and keep making these small but beneficial strides in the right direction, you CAN succeed, because you ARE worth it and you always have been.

Chin up, keep smiling, be strong and no worries okay. I want to tell you I am very proud of you for persisting, but most of all for finding those plan B's, because that is next level planning and some people struggle with that and miss good opportunities to push themsevles or eat properly and use "oh well never mind", "well it could have been worse", or "tomorrows another day" thinking patterns, to rationalise the missed opportunities, then say something like," I will try to improve on this in some way and hopefully do it", rather than, I WILL find ways to improve on this and I WILL make them happen.

It becomes a question of how much someone wants something good for their wellbeing, because when they want it enough they will find the ways to make it more likely to happen.

You're clearly doing that now, from what evidence exists here and that is a really great thing.

So just remember you ARE worth it and don't let up on yourself okay, because you DO have a lot to give to this and I ma positive you WILL find the way(s), to make the end results happen :).

WELL DONE; you're doing great.

Bossman, thanks for pointing out Plan B... I just naturally feel like I have to workout somehow no matter.

Hey Anna Welcome back!

Hey Becky… No, I don’t think I can run and do insanity workout together unless I’m ready to kill myself with pain & injures… LOL

I did Insanity workout before… and it’s just like the workout title… it’s INSANE! However, I did my own diet and didn’t follow theirs… Now, I’m going to start doing both correctly and at my own fitness level.

So, starting Monday – I will post my diet on a new journal. This will be my short term goal because it’s only 60 days… I hope to continue with my long term goal of having a regular and healthy routine to get me going again. As mentioned before, I have been jogging, doing Zumba and kick boxing. However, my diet is poor as ever.

I will try to post my journal everyday but… sometimes things can get crazy for me and I end up not posting everyday… I’m debating of making a career change... but that’s another story…

Hope you all are doing well….

Hey Becky :D

I gain a bit of weight and right now my goal is to lose it again… (It's my fault for letting work get to me and drinking all the time during happy hour after a long & stressful work day) I’ve always been trying to lose the weight and never know how to maintain… it’s pretty hard… I ate things I couldn’t eat before the wedding… it’s pretty bad. But right now... I’m getting back on track. I try to go jogging lighly during the weekends and do kick boxing & weights every other day. I do low impact kick boxing because my foot and knee is still hurting.

I actually found out… the race I was going to do with my friend is the same day I’ll be out of town (LA). :? Bummer… I guess I’ll have to do it some other time.

After tax season… I will actually go to Laos & Thailand for the first time after 28 years (Next month). I’m a bit under pressure losing weight because it will be my first and might be my last time seeing my blood relatives. My mom was the only one who left the country and came to America. So growing up… I had no cousins or blood relatives. My mom told me to lose the weight as much as I can… unless I don’t mind getting called fat. My mom told me… supposedly, if they tease me or make fun of me like call me fat/chubby… it’s a good thing. They adore me and want to joke with me. I told my mom… I will give them a piece of my mind if they call me fat! (Then we clash… generation gap & cultural barrier) Anyways, I’m working really hard trying to be fit again!

The main thing is to just put what you did behind you and concentrate on what is to come.

You DO have what it takes to make what you want to happen, happen and if you continue to focus and believe in yourself, then you WiLL be able to do it.

GOOD LUCK and keep believing in yourself, because you ARE worth it and you deserve one day, to feel as beautiful as the person your heart portrays you as :).
